Advantages: Get what you want, get rid of what you don't
Disadvantages: You may find what you want, but do you have what they want
I found this site by following a Dooyoo banner. Now I will admit, I am not normally a banner clicker, but this one did catch my eye. So of I went, and I am so glad I did. This is a swap site, where you can advertise almost anything you have, and say what you would like in exchange for your item. The categories are vey varied and too many to list here, but they include the normal categories found on an auciton site, such as: Toys Collectables Books and magazines ect There are also more unusual categories such as Job swaps, Cash and Holidays. The site is very easy to navigate and the signing up process is painless. They do take most of your personal details, but they state that if you enter into a swap with someone they will ask you what info you want to be released to the other person. Once you have joined up everything from then on in is easy. Login in, and then you just read through the categories you are interested in, and if you find an item you want you simply click the appropriate button. To advertise a swap all you do is fill in a simple form listing what you have, what you want, and a short description if you wish. If you wish to sell an item, you can list your desire as cash and then enter the amount you want in the more detalils section. When you have had an offer made to you, or your offer is accepted or rejected they e-mail you to let you know. From there it is up to you and the person you are swapping with to decide how you exchange goods, but they do give suggestions for this. They also offer other help, such as they have teamed up with UPS and Itrustyou.com to offer swap delivery with online tracking and online escrow services to ensure safe delivery and payment for swaps that involve cash. There are some features that amused me, but are I suppose quite practical really, such as they point out that by swapping your home rather than sellin
g it you could save in Stamp Duty, and they will even supply you with a for swap sign to go outside your house!! (Mind they charge £65 for this!) The site is WAP enabled as well so if you are really desperate to see if anyone wants your house or your husband you can check where ever you are. I found the site easy and fun. Some of the swaps offered are really funny. I even found one where someone would like to swap their teenage son! Think I might add mine..... if anyone wants him they get his older sister as a free gift! I think it's worth a look for everyone, you never know what you might find or what you might get rid of!
