I have been selling on yahoo auctions for 5 months now and it is working out very well for me. I used to sell on the message boards for a while but you had to relist your items so often it was not worth the time. Than I went to mother nature auctions and was doing quite well there for a while until they started charging you if you listed very many items.

I had alot of things around my house that were in great condition but no way to get rid of it and earn some money. Yard sales were not the answer because you are limited by weather and time available to take a whole weekend to sit in your driveway waiting for a customer. I knew there had to be a better way to do this.

My friend told me about yahoo and I had heard the name before but did not know they had auctions. I checked it out and bought a few things that interested me to get a feel of how it all worked.

I started listing a few things and it went quite smoothly. I now average over 100 items for sale all the time. There is no limit to how many things you can have listed at one time. You can program your settings to how many days you want the auction to run and how many times you want yahoo to resubmit it after it closes. I find I have more free time to deal with my winners and get my deal finished up because I don't have to sit every night and repost auctions that have closed.

I find the people on yahoo for the most part very friendly, quick payers and honest. You can sell to people only in the UK or you can sell internationally. There is a place for people to ask you questions that will come directly to your email address and you can answer at your convience.

Yahoo also offers a messenger service so I turn that on when I am online so that if someone wants to contact me about my auction they can click on the button in my auctions and contact me. The button tells them if I am on line at the time or not.

I don't know too much about other auctio
n sights. I know yahoo is compared to ebay. I realize that ebay is very large and probably has many more people that visit it and maybe my auctions would sell quicker and possibly for a little more for each item but you have to pay to use this sight.

I was looking for a free place to put my auctions so that I know that every dime I make goes into my pocket not someone elses. I have found some things I did not like about yahoo's features, but in the 5 months that I have been using it they have corrected alot of these things.

It is an auction sight that I would feel comfortable telling others about and I feel its an easy and affective way to sell products you have on hand and make some extra spending money.

Lets face it. Everyone has old clothes, toys, and other types of items that are just sitting around collecting dust. I decided to to take these dust collecters and put them to work for me earning money.
