Advantages: big sound in a small area and it looks great

Disadvantages: you will want one for every room in the house!

The Apple iPod Hi-Fi is a fantastic addition to your whole "ipod collection". it is stylish and continues the whole ipod theme with its reflective white body. the speaker system provides a sound that is truly unexpected for its size and i have found it extremely useful at parties due to its easy transportability. you can also plug a jack lead into the headphone socket of the ipod and connect further speaker systems (if you require them) whilst still playing through the dock. the dock incorporates two tweeters, one central cone and two sub woofers soo it is suitable for playing the most bass filled selection from your itunes aswell as higher tones...or both at once. the dock is of course universal for the whole ipod range and i have used it with the 30, 60 and 80GB models. the feature i find most useful however is the remote that i supplied with the dock and is equally ipod-like in appearance and the controls appear similar to that of teh ipod. the remote takes one button battery and has shown no sign of giving up after months of extensive use! it is great to be able to change track and navigate the ipod from the other side of the room or the sofa! the latest ipod range gives you access to a display mode that automatically puts on a full-screen version of the album art that goes with the song you're listening to (if available) after about several seconds. You also get "tone controls", which consist of nothing more than a Bass Booster and Treble Booster—I admit, I had been hoping for a graphic equalizer. You can also switch between several different backlight modes to suit the mood. prices range from around £160 upto £200 as far as i have seen although i think the lower of the prices was in dixons wher i bought mine. i would recommend this dock if you wish to share your music with others...its the best way to do it as well as the most stylish!

Summary: a great sound system that gives all the quality you would expect from an apple product
