Advantages: Clear and crisp from the beginning.
Disadvantages: Noise becomes muffled and rough after a while
I originally bought these speakers because I was having a party in my flat at university, and I needed some speakers to hook up to my laptop. I found them in Argos at around £20, but I also saw them in ASDA for around £15. I couldnt believe they had come down this much in price, I was a bit gutted I hadnt looked around for a cheaper price than in Argos.
The box that the speakers come in is of a bright colour, the left side and the bottom of the box is lined with blue lines up either side, with yellow strips. The blue writing on the side of the box says creative in a data type font. The picture on the front of the box is a large picture of your speakers and the make that they are is in large writing on the bottom of the box. On the lid of the box there is a long list of bullet points describing your product, it shows the best points about your product and the features that they have.
In the box you get two sets of speakers, they are connected by a wire so that they are in sync, coming out of one speaker you also get a long wire, this wire is to plug your speakers into the appliance that you bought them for, in my case this was my laptop, although you could connect them to a hi-fi, a tv or a cd player if you needed to.
The product that I bought were small compact rectangular speakers, they only have two controls on them, which is good, and they are on seperate speakers so you do not get them confused. One has an on off button which is located on the back of the speaker. It is a large button about the size of a light switch and on the other speaker there is a small circular nozzle which you twist up and down to determine the loudness of the speakers and how loud you would like them to go.
The speakers are loud and generate a lot of noise, however after some usage one of the speakers stopped working, and the noise became fuzzy. I was not impressed with this at all however they had passed their guarantee. The noise began to cut up, but on the first usage for my flat party the speakers were very loud and I had no problems and at the beginning the noise was very clear and crisp. The speakers did however last for around six months before they began to cut out which I felt was a bit of a let down, but until this point I could not complain at all.
Overall I would definitely purchase this product from ASDA instead of argos, this is because the price from ASDA suits the quality of this product a lot better. I cannot fault the product until about 6 months in because it began to let me down, the noise was clear crisp, and I was 100% happy with the product after I had bought it. I would also say that the wire that is provided is around 2m long, which I feel is too long, personally I feel that it is a bit of a trip hazard and a bit long.
The wire that connects these two speakers is long enough so that they can be placed at either end of a desk, which is where I had placed these speakers, this was for equal noise coverage. The product is a definite buy and definitely worth the money. The volume has enough scope and can be quiet or loud depending on your tastes or moods. Definitely worth a try if you need a new set of speakers.
Summary: Smart and stylish looking speakers with a good range of volume and easy to use controls
