After buying myself a fine Soundblaster Live! 5.1 soundcard, I needed a decent speaker system to go with it. My pair of Super-Sound Ultra Tacky speakers just weren't doing the job for me. However, after recently buying myself a collection of World War 2 port-a-loos, I was a little out of pocket. Little did I know that the perfect solution was just round the corner - in my bedroom in fact. After about 10 minutes of browsing the internet looking for the perfect solution to my problems I came across something that would change the socket configuration of my sound card forever - the Creative Desktop Theatre DTT2200.

Cheap, cheerful and easy to set up, this speaker solution comes near the top when sound quality comes into question. In addition to the amazing results, you get 5 speakers and one subwoofer for making those extra basey sounds. EAX sound is supported for your PC games, making it possible to hear things from all around you. Why is it so cheap? Well, Creative have released a whole other bunch of speaker system that effectively sound the same but use different technologies. Granted, you don't get any fancy equiliser add on gadgety type things. But when it comes down to, this system is excellent value for money and in general, a top notch product.
