The Creative Gigaworks HD50 speakers have been a staple part of my pc setup for the past 2 years. They come in piano white, so look incredibly stylish next to the white monitor, mouse, keyboard, and tower I have.

Measuring just 140 x 70 x 83 mm, they're compact enough to fit on any size desk without seeming in the way, but aren't delicate or flimsy either. They have a single volume/power control on the right hand speaker, so unfortunately you'll have to use your PC to adjust any balance, tone or pitch settings you want set different to standard.

Considering their size, these speakers pack some serious power. I've had my neighbours complain when they've been turned right up, which for a 36 Watt speaker set, really is surprising. They'll only go to about 80% volume before you start to get distortion and a slight crackle, but overall their performance is pretty damn good.

I'd recommend them for sure. Great set of speakers, great price, great sound.
