Advantages: Great Sound Quality and Great Value For Money
Disadvantages: Nothing Springs To Mind
Initial
I was searching for a pair of decent speakers at a relatively cheap price. I wanted a 2.1 system as I didn't want to take up too much space. I searched around for a while, comparing different systems and kind of got up to speed on the world of speaker systems, and came to a conclusion that these were the pair for me. Where else could I find all that quality for such good value. Here is a bit of 'technical information' for anyone who may find it helpful in whether to purchase this system or not. It manages to emit 24 watts out of the subwoofer, trust me that is definitely enough, and it also manages to emit another 17 watts out of the speakers, making this item excellent value for money. The signal to noise ratio (SNR) is 80db, just in case you wanted to know. So i found out all this information and thought it was perfect for me, and purchased it. It only cost me £60, I was amazed. I had set aside a lot more than that to purchase my new speaker system and had not expected to get one so cheaply. So therefore, I had doubts during purchase date and arrival date of whether it would be that good. The fact it was a Creative almost assured me that it was legit. But I am one of those people who doesn't believe it until I see it or hear it.
Arrival
It arrived on time, so that was a good start and I was pleased. I assumed that it would be a lengthy set up process so set myself up for a long time on the floor in front of my television surrounded by pieces of paper with instructions on that i couldn't understand. When I opened the box, I initially loved the look of the system, and was also astonished at how little instructions there were. I was ready to take it back and get the real instructions when it became apparent the only thing it had was a simple diagram with drawings on it. Set up process took around a whole five minutes. It was so simple. I can now take apart my system and put it back together within a few minutes.
The Test
Now came the moment of truth. Was it worth the £60 I had paid for it, or was it a total waste. I put some music on, and was almost literally blown away. The quality was amazing, the music crystal clear, and the floor under the subwoofer shaking. It made me excited and very cheerful; thats how good it was. The bass is simply amazing, along with the rest of the system. I have officially taken my hat off to Creative.
Compatibilty
I was a little confused before testing this item as to whether it was compatible with just my televison or my iPod and computer aswell. As it turns out, it's compatible with both of them and other things too. A big plus that I wasn't expecting. Being able to plug my iPod into it whenever I please is a great feature and I love it.
Overall
If you're planning on buying a reasonably priced speaker system but stuck on which one to get, I have three words for you: PICK THIS ONE! Trust me you will not be disappointed. I have had mine for about a year now and it hasn't failed me at all and still works at its full potential. Highly recommend.
