The sub is a completely wooden box the only plastic on this is the porthole, this in my opinion is a good thing, and is supplied with stick on rubber feet. The sound quality is not the best i have heard but it is pretty good. The 2 rear speakers have plenty of cable on them and was adequate for my needs. I bought these speakers because they look pretty funky and i wanted a 5.1 speaker set. Due to a customer complaints about how they could not get 5.1 sound from them from their standard soundcard Nisis now bundle a 5.1 soundcard with the speakers. Personally I have not tested this card out as i already have a 5.1 card. The 5 satelite speakers are pretty sturdy in construction with tilt mechanisms to allow you to angle them as well as incorperating wall mountings in the base so you can wall mount them.
