Advantages: Sleek, modern, has excellent sound quality and value for money.

My partner purchased these JBL Creature II speakers for use in our our bedroom with the intention of using them with our ipod.

My first impression were that they were certainly different, but in a good way.

We purchased the speakers for £65.00 and the prices have held in most stores with retail prices ranging from £60.00 - £70.00.

With our purchase we got a large black woofer speaker that looked a bit like 'Darth Vadars' head and two smaller similar shaped satellite speakers.

The speakers came with a mini stereo jack connection that allowed us to use the speakers with a variety of systems, mainly we have used out macbook and ipod.

The woofer speaker fits nicely under the centre of our bed (top end) and the smaller satellite speakers sit nicely on the bedside table either side of our bed. The connection cables are long enough to do this without causing any harm to the cables or system and we can discreetly hide them away so our room is free from any loose cables.

The volume can be increased, decreased or muted at a touch of a button from the smaller satellite speakers, this means there is no need for a remote control, or for me to climb under my bed each I want to make an adjustment to the volume.

The only control that is placed on the subwoofer and under my bed is the treble controls, but they easy to access on the front of the subwoofer.

The speaker quality is amazing and i did not expect to get such high quality from a product with such a low price. I was pleasantly suprised.

In my opinion my fiance made a fantastic purchase because we have used it most days and have had not problems to date.

We were so impressed that we bought the silver version for my fiances office, and bought the white version as a present for the in-laws.

There are lots of different speakers out there at the moment but the 'creature' is sleek, modern, has excellent sound quality and value for money.
