I bought these speakers as a present for my husband's birthday a couple of years ago. At the time, admittedly I didn't really know much about them, but they did appear to have a good rating from what I could tell. Unknown to me, he went and bought a theatre surround system grr! I bought these speakers for my Playstation 3 as I was tired of the thin, average sound from my Samsung HD T.V. For £60 from Amazon, they are great value. In fact, I'd expect to have paid a lot more for these speakers for the sound they provide. They come with three preset EQ settings - Movie, Game and Music. But you can adjust the bass and treble to whatever you want anyway. All of them work very well, but I just keep it on the 'Game' setting even for films. The bass is very loud from the built-in subwoofers, and it provides a genuinely excellent sound for the price. It can go extremely loud for its size.
