As far as technical information goes, these speakers are pretty standard for this price range, with nothing particularly technically positive or negative about them. I'll speak relatively plainly, because if this is the end of the market that you're looking at then you're probably not going to be comparing tech aspects, and if you are then there is a) an excellent technical review here and b) technical information available from both dooyoo and amazon, though their own website doesn't currently have any information at all about these speakers.
To put it pretty simply, and speaking from my own personal experience with these speakers, they're great value for money but they do have some really irritating qualities. I've had these speakers for years, but they're starting to go in a way that is a little frustrating. One of the problems is that the transition from listening to headphones to listening directly from the speakers often cuts out the sound, for some reason. The wiring seems fine, and they do play again if you turn them off and on again at the socket, but it's a pretty annoying thing to have to do every time.
Also, if I move them around the desk, around one time out ten, the sound on the main speaker will just cut out for no reason, and won't come back again without smacking the darn thing. Which I'm sure isn't helping in the long run, but still!
However, on a more positive note, the wires are a decent length, and I've personally put the speakers pretty far away from each other for parties and gatherings and such. Basically, the sound is really good for filling up a room because of the length, and the fact that they're so lightweight doesn't make this as much of a hassle as it might be with other bulkier speakers.
At around 22cm high, they are easily placed most places on a desk, and very easily transportable. They also are incredibly good value for money, are compatible with most hardware, with a relatively good sound that doesn't fuzz up unless you really pump up the volume.
Great value for what you get, but keep your receipt. I'd recommend these speakers for a student, or someone who has to move a lot, as they're incredibly transportable, and easily replaced.
Logitech can always be trusted blindfold as far as computer accessories are concerned and they provide excellent value for money. But what I always believe quality must be comprised with under any circumstances. It's true that at this price it's really difficult give any that you can real quality stuff.
Logitech R-10 speakers system, as a said is perfect value for money but then why compromise quality for price. The basic problem with this dual system is banwidth equalization. Before going let us take a quick look at the technical specification.
Media Type 2 speakers
Nominal Output Power (Total) 4 Watt
Max Output Power 8 Watt
Response Bandwidth 70 - 20000 Hz
Input Impedance 4 Ohm
Signal-To-Noise Ratio 70 dB
Speakers Included 2 x right/left channel speaker
Just look at Bandwidth Response 70-20000 Hz, for any reliability and reproduction of good bass quality lower range should not be less than 20 Hz. This produces a typical problem of higher frequencies over riding lower ones, which in layman terms means no control over treble resulting in very poor mid range and bass reproduction. This obviously give rise cross talk risk and distortion at a relatively low volume.
Also it provides Media Type speakers for both right and left channel. It is also clear from the specs each has got 2x1 meaning a system containing four out put speakers. Naturally they take care for bass and treble but what about mid range. If you don have control over these basic acoustic necessities for good sound reproduction then equalization has no meaning and this exactly the problem with the this product. To have good control over equalization you it is imperative for you to have specific rages like boofer, woofer and twiter, lets forget about super woofers. Also stuffing of the speakers inside the cabinet is also a big issue.
Another problem is the Input Impedance and SNR (signal to noise ratio). But I must say with all this basic drawbacks the guys at Logitech has done an excellent job. I would rate Logitech-R10 performance as reasonably good considering the technical problems inherent in the system.
But then if you can configure your Media player well enough the audio quality will definitely better than ordinary. But do it carefully, may be your system will not recognize your accessory at all!
The installation is very simple, no problems there.
At £6.99 it is an excellent acquisition.
