Logitech Soundman X1 ... compact, contemporary industrial design the excellent sound reproduction achieved through Linear Magnetic Drive (LIMAD) technology. This proprietary method of sound reproduction uses rare-earth neodymium magnets to accurately capture the full spectrum of sound in a compact design. LIMAD enables speakers to provide output at all frequencies in proportion to input, and to accommodate sudden changes in frequency without distortion. It also allows speakers and subwoofers to handle a wide dynamic range, including low frequency sounds that are difficult to accurately reproduce, such as classical music, male voices, cellos and pianos. SoundMan solution allows any PC user to enjoy the full sound spectrum.

SoundMan X1 speakers produce realistic, high-definition sound for Internet downloads, CD music, multimedia files, and MP3 audio. A sleek subwoofer accurately reproduces the full bass range and combined with the two satellite speakers, delivers 25 watts RMS of power. This speaker system is designed with a number of built-in convenience features including a headphone jack, volume controls and an integrated power supply that eliminates the need for an adaptor. In addition, it includes a "sleep" mode. An automatic sound detection system activates the speakers and subwoofer only when sound is present. All speakers are magnetically shielded. Because of the small footprint, users can place the speakers on a desk, bookcase or in an entertainment center.
