Advantages: good sound, very cheap

Disadvantages: Kind of big

On first purchasing these speakers, I was a little unsure what to expect due to the price I was paying (£15 from Play.com). I knew, by the fact they were made by Logitech, that they wouldn't be your usually cheap rubbish, and so I decided to click pay, and pay.

On arrival, I couldn't wait to get the box open... with my first concern being... "Wow their big".

First sights were not a problem, as it was mainly the sound I bought them for... which I found to be very good considering their price (You could be paying much, much more for another set with an equivalent specification). Their size isn't really a big problem either (9.5" x 3.9" x 4.9" (H x W x D) fitting nicely on my desk, for use with my computer and iPod. One of the speakers contains a volume control, a headphone port, an input port (for connecting an iPod or CD player, although I tend to use the actual speaker cable) and finally a tone control. I find this particular control useless, as it is always on full; lowering it creates much less base, making the sound more 'tinny'.

They use their own plug, which helps to not drain too much of my iPod battery when playing music though them. I tend to use these speakers much more these days instead of my actual IPod iStation (which cost £50) as I found the sound to have much more volume (3D) whilst giving out a pretty good base (just as good as my stereo).
Their specification is as follows:
Specifications
* 3.5 mm auxiliary input
* Stereo headphone jack: Connect headphones to enjoy your music privately
* Dynamic, real-time bass equalisation: Maximises low frequency response at all volumes
* Total RMS power: 5 watts RMS (2.5 x 2)
* Total peak power: 10 watts
* Frequency response: 80Hz - 18kHz
* 2.75" high-excursion driver with 3" pressure driver
* Speaker dimensions 9.5" x 3.9" x 4.9" (H x W x D)
For its price, and sound quality, I would certainly recommend these speakers.
