Advantages: Great sound for the price . Easy peasy
Disadvantages: An independant bass control would be handy - just to turn it down a bit .
Boom Boom Boom.
£19 on ebay! Absolute total bargain. I ain't no stereo buff but even I know my little pair of speakers were, to be honest, duff. As in effin duff. They played twinkle twinkle little star ok but that's it.
These on the other hand took me to places where the bass does shine. They are very very loud. really loud. And tiny. You wouldn't think that given the size of box they came in though! That was huge! The slight feeling of dread was however totally replaced by joy at the sheer simplicity of getting them up and running. It literally took 2 minutes before they had sound coming out of them. Lovely sound.
The sub is fairly compact, plugs straight in to the wall and straight into the back of the pc, green to green. The 2 satellites have lots of reach on their cable and sit neatly on either side of the desk. And they are little - just 17cm tall and 6cm wide. If you want you can pop them on the wall but I'm just too lazy for that.
Pop in the CD and -well -if you can find better sound for £20 I'll be amazed. even when it's turned down, it sounds loud! The bass is deep and full and the higher frequencies blend well. At times I think the bass is too deep and if i had a criticism it would be that it could do with a way of adjusting it. A small quibble for the price.
The wired remote is a simple affair with an on/off button, volume and headphone jack. On plenty of cable!
They have been on the PC for 6 months now and have never needed to be touched since the day I plugged them in. Instant results without any hassle. The ease and the quality would make me a fool not to recommend these. Fantastic.
