For a long time I just used the standard desktop speakers that you would get with your average Dell PC. Just a pair of cheap looking Dell speakers. But they did me fine. It was only when I went into my friends room at University and saw and listened to his set up that I realised what I was missing out on in terms of sound quality. He had the upgrade to this product - the set of 5 speakers. But due to my money situation I decided to go for these at a reasonable £30. I was highly satisfied with my purchase. The speakers arrived in a tidy box, quite big because of the subwoofer, and with everything packaged in tightly and securely. The ... Read the complete review

Buying a new TV can be an expensive business these days. First there's the TV, the HDMI cables and finally the stand but even a top end 40" Sony Bravia (see my other review) only has 10w per channel audio output, hence the need for more power. To be honest, the TV is fine for watching soaps etc but just lacking in high-end volume and bass. As I have all my music on my PS3 now and the hi-fi has been retired, it was clear the TV alone wouldn't be enough, hence need for extra output. No doubt like many people I did not want a 5.1 system as I do not want wires and speakers everywhere. I did not want a home cinema package as I already have the PS3 for playing ... ---- * Background * --- I wanted to get some speakers that packed a bit of a punch in terms of bass and were of a decent standard for a smallish price. I found these to be relatively cheap, and I have always trusted Logitech in terms of quality, and to some degree have some brand loyalty to the firm, having other logitech products ( I have a logitech keyboard, mouse, webcam and speakers.) --- About the Product, sound quality --- The speakers are easy to connect and come with cables that are plenty enough in length to fit to systems that are quite seperated from where you want them to be. The Subwoofer, is where all the connections and ... Read the complete review

I have owned these speakers for a little over 1 year so I have a fairly decent idea on how good these speakers really are. Mine were bought for £24.99 from www.amazon.co.uk. The speakers are packaged very well which I was pleased with considering they were so cheap. The box they come in is big with high quality images of the product it contains. It lists the specifications that may help you in choosing the speakers. Inside the speakers are held in place by two very large polystyrene inserts. They don't move at all and feel very secure. In the box you get, the subwoofer, two satellites and some papers. The speakers themselves feel good quality for ... Read the complete review

I picked up this system from Currys for £22.50 (£25 but with a 10% discount code). This is a small unit with compact speakers, but don't let that fool you into thinking it produces a small sound. The stylish design fits in easily with any decor and is easily manouverable. It gives a clear, clean sound, coupled with a trembling bass which can be controlled easily on the subwoofer. The general volume control is on one of the speakers. The length of wire between the speakers and subwoofer is quite generous which is ideal for seprating the speakers and giving a surround sound effect. A great thing about this system is the versatility ... Read the complete review
