Compact size with a huge sound (Logitech X 230)

Advantages: Very loud, and not huge

Disadvantages: not the prettiest or most modern look

I am a teacher, and I have this set-up at school in my class-room. My room is big, and seats up to 50 kids, yet this speaker system is powerful enough to power my DVD system up for the whole room. It's so compact, and yet so powerful, that I bought one for home!

The beauty of this set-up is its deceptive size compared to its power. The power, of course, comes from the sub. I have the sub hidden, and many visitors have said "how the hell does that much sound come from those two speakers?" So there's the main selling point - very loud and yet very compact.

The sound is great - the high and mid frequencies are faultless, with the bass being a bit muddy when on full, but honestly - I never set it on full.

The look is fairly basic - black and grey, with fabric covers on the two speakers, and metal on the sub, it's not going to win awards for looks, but it's not obtrusive.

Summary: LOTS of power for a small size - if you need big volume in a small size, get it!
