The Logitech Z5500 Digital is everything that you could ask for in a digital home theatre system for under £250.

I bought mine from ebuyers in May 09' and cannot put a thing wrong with it.

I bought this specifically for its digital capabilities. Owning a PS3 you get to use its optical out which enables for 5.1 Digital sound. This is very easy and quick to setup via the audio setting on the PS3 menu. Simple set it to Optical. The Logitech will then pick up the digital signal and you're off.

I watch a lot of Blu-Ray movies as I am a subscriber to LoveFilm. If you manage to come across one that has a THX sound codec then the Z5500 really comes to life. The bass is amazing, watching action films is intense, the bass makes explosions seem like they are just outside.

I have read reviews where many people have said that the bass is too boomy. These people must not have been aware that you can change the settings of the bass speaker, the centre speakers and the rear speakers. This is easily done by using the centre console or the remote that is provided.

I rate this system highly. I don't think that you can get a system of this quality for such a low price. £230ish for digital 5.1 surround sound, perfect for movie and game lovers who like their sound.
