Good for taking around on holiday, or for laptop etc.

I brought these from Agros for about £2 after the £5 voucher, as a little set of speakers to travel around with, well, that's what they're designed for right?
They are pretty small, not very heavy, you could take these around with you almost everywhere. They run on battery, 4 X AA as well as mains, DC 6V. The battery lasts a pretty long time, long enough anyway. There is a power button on the front, which there is an LED which glows red when the speakers are switched on.
The sound quality, well, for a small set like these, you're never going to get HiFi quality, obviously, but, they really aren't all that bad. They suprisingly give out a fair amount of bass, with their unique, strange pattern on the front, which supposedly gives you better sound. They also go fairly loud for what they are and the price, they do start to distort at higher volumes, which is understandable.
The build quality - the units themselves seem quite sturdy, and strong, however, the cable is utterly useless. I had to open up one of the speakers, cut the wire, the re-solder it back on, and now, it's gone again! More soldering, yay!
