I bought the SR-30 speakers recently. I was using my friend's speakers, which were 70W surround sound speakers but he wanted them back. So I wanted something equally good because I enjoy music but something cheap aswell.

I went for the cheapest 4 sattelite and a woofer speakers I could find, namely the SR-30. I compared the price in all the online shops and real shops. So I had a real good look at the other speakers that I could have bought.

I bought my speakers for £48 from Timextra.com. After a (long) wait, I finally got my speakers and my first impression when I opened the parcel was: "F**K, those sattelite speakers are tiny!". I wasn't really impressed with their size. But I plugged my speakers anyway. And the sound that came out was brilliant! Those tiny speakers are quite powerful!

The problem is that I don't have a 4-speaker sound card, so I had to buy quite a few cables to make my 4 speakers work. But if you're like me, and don't have a 4-speaker sound card, don't worry, it is possible to fix the problem! I did have to spend an extra £7 to buy all the cables that I needed so that the rear speakers can reach the back of my room.

What that other person wrote about the remote is true. The remote is cabled, which defies the purpose of having a remote control! But the cable is about 1.5m long, so you can move it about quite easely. It does become inconveniant with a cable hanging over your desk, but if you desperatly want to move the remote next to you, it's possible.

All in all, I am pleased with the sound quality of the speakers. But the problem is that you will need quite a lot of cables to get the set working, and that's a shame. The woofer is really good. It's strong and when you place it on solid ground, it doesn't rattle.

I am really pleased with those speakers and I'd recommend them to anyone who wants 4 speakers, a woofer and cheap price!
