great speakers! (Teac XS-2)

These are some speakers I actually got as a present from my brother not this Christmas, but the one before it, around a year ago now.
At first inspection, I thought they looked really cool, however I was yet to use them, as I didn't have a laptop to play music over.
I did however have an mp3 player but because these plug into your USB port, I couldn't actually use them until I got a laptop, so I tucked them away under my bad and just forgot about them.

Anyway, the time soon came where I decided to buy a laptop, and soon enough I remembered these speakers out to see how good they really was.
The first thing ill mention is how easy they was to actually set up, it must have took me less than a minute and I was playing music, the only wires you could get muddled up are the one going from the laptop audio jack, to the speak in or speaker out jack in the speakers, however just switch them around till they work and its all done.
Another thing about them, is how loud they can actually go, the little aluminium speakers look like they'll make a naff low volume, and with no bass at all, however with two of these speakers in each speaker, it really doubles up to make a very, very loud sound.
Also the sound is really rich quality too, and it sounds great when you only need the volume on low to get amazing tones.

They are really small too, as well as looking great, and you can really put them away and take them anywhere. They fit so easy into my laptop case and I usually take them with me if I go anywhere, so that I can play music out loud, really easily.
Basically they run off USB power, I'm not sure how much this brings your battery power down by, but on my laptop it doesn't seem to have much effect on battery life, its great that it goes into your USB, as it means you don't have to waste money on batteries or have to plug them into a power socket.

This Christmas however, I got new speakers, which I may do a review on soon, these new ones are better than these, however this is only as they have a subwoofer too, as well as the two other speakers, so bass is really good on it.
However these speakers served me well for almost a year, and ill still take them with me if I go anywhere, as the other ones aren't as portable. So if you see these anywhere, I advise you to get them, you really wont be disappointed in them.
