I’d still recommend them to anybody who I still using their built-in computer speakers, or speakers with less power but only if your really strapped for cash. Otherwise save up and look for a quality 5.1 surround sound solution.

The Trust 2500P 2.1 Soundforce speakers are a cheap and cheerful solution to surround sound. I’ve owned mine for well over a year now and it has done its job perfectly. It simply plugs into your computers 3.5mm headphone jack and ‘hey presto’ you have surround sound. I couldn’t believe the difference in sound quality and it makes listening to films or music a lot better. Before I brought these I was using the in-built speakers on my Apple eMac. The apple speakers are supposed to be good but man could I tell the difference.
