XMI X-mini II
Advantages: Amazing sound quality, Very loud, Small size, Comes with it's own felt carry bag.
Disadvantages: In-built cable is rubbish (Workaround available)
The X-Mini II is a speaker that I pondered over for many months.. how could so much sound come out of a speaker the size of a tennis ball? It really made me wonder how the X-Mini boffins could make this speaker sound so good, and also make it so loud without having multiple speakers with a massive size bringing the price up to a small fortune.
Which brings me on to the next brilliant thing about this speaker, the price. At £12.99 from Amazon, this is simply too much of a bargain to miss, as I really can't stress enough how loud, and how good the sound quality that comes from this speaker is.
No product is perfect though, as X-Minis are sometimes known to have issues regarding the cable that plugs into your MP3 Player (standard 3.5mm jack). The cable is known to break by itself, or sometimes the connection that comes from the speaker breaks, leaving the in-built cable useless. Thankfully, there is a workaround available which simply involves buying a 3.5 to 3.5mm jack cable, and plugging one end into the port on the side (usually used for connecting multiple speakers together for a much louder sound) and the other end into your MP3 player. This solution is great as the cables are really cheap and last much longer than the rubbish built in one.
Summary: It's just astounding how much sound it makes :)
