Yamaha YST MS55D ... motherboard of most computers. If you're building a new system and opt for USB speakers, you won't need to buy a soundcard. The entire YSTMS55D system is powered by an amplifier that's housed in the subwoofer. It delivers an impressive 20 watts (at 4 ohms) to each of the sats and 40 (5 ohms) to the subwoofer's driver. Each satellite packs a 3-inch cone midrange driver and .75-inch dome tweeter. The subwoofer sports a 6.5-inch driver. That adds up to a rated bass response that's better than you'd get from many systems.
