Advantages: Great listening enjoyment

Disadvantages: none that I can think of

Harry Potter is an orphaned child left to be raised by his cruel aunt and uncle. Harry finds out he is in fact a wizard and attends his first year at Hogwarts.

The audio tape in my opinion brings the book to life as explained in the next two paragraphs.

Have you ever wanted to hear what Harry's voice sounds like? well now you can with Stephen Fry's excelent reading of Harry Potter and the Philosiphers stone.

Stephen does an uncanny impression of Hagrid the hogwarts game keeper and Albus Dumbledore, you'd think ahh.. thats how he would have sounded like to me.

Stephen reads at a nice slow pace and he reads clearly too. Its a great tape for people who don't like the sort of tapes where the reader reads too fast or has music at the begining and end of the tape, as there is none!
