This is one of Julia Donaldson's most popular creations, loved by children young and old. A mouse wanders alone in the deep dark wood, and along the way meets different creatures who tell tales of this fearsome creature the Gruffalo.

Light up the children's imaginations with this wonderful story, and listen together as the mouse goes on his brave walk through the wood. The repetitive phrases allow children to join in easily with the story. The sound effects add to the magical element of the story, setting the scene and atmosphere for the children to imagine being that little mouse, about to come face to face with this BIG, SCARY, Gruffalo !!!
This is a must buy for children who love the book. I use it in my classroom, in the listening corner where children can independently listen to this well loved story while, following the pages of the book. Extend the children's learning by using the CD to incorporate role play of the story, with props. It's a story that is so easy to listen to, and one of those that your children will never grow tired of.
