Advantages: Light, easily absorbed, great under make up

Disadvantages: The price!!!!

I had never used this all sensitive moisturiser before, and was delighted to find that the suites we stayed in on our recent holiday to Canada offered free Aveda products replenished daily in our bathroom. I know they were replenished daily as I popped them in my case on a daily basis! The mini bottles I have are 30ml.

I have been using this moisturiser for about a week. It is a totally different to the moisturisers I have used in the past. It is a watery consistancy, and has absolutly no odour. But this is not in any way a negative.

Lately, I have bought Various Garnier moisturisers, simply as they have been on special offers. I have has a slight issue with them, they moisturise very well, however, upon applying make-up over them I have had to take great care that I don't end up with a claggy caked effect. With this Aveda product that has not happened at all.

Application- I always apply moituriser to a clean washed face, then tend to put my make-up on almost immediatly after. The Aveda spreads over the face very well, as I have already mentioned, a tiny amount, a penny sized blob, covers the entire face. It is absorbed very quickly, leaving my face soft, smooth with no tightness at all. After a few seconds, I am ready for make-up. There is absolutly no stickyness, so foundation can be applied very smoothly and powder goes on very very evenly.

The key ingredients are:Albizia lebbeck, Barberry, Caeselpinia sappan, Coconut-derived emollients, Geranium, Lesser cardamom, Licorice, Saussurea, Spikenard, Tumeric, Valerian root, Vetiver brass, Vitamin E

For the purposes of this review, I have found the price is £31.32 for a 150ml bottle direct from Aveda. I think this is a shockly high price, however, if money were no object, I would probably buy it.

In summery,

It hydrates sensitive skin very well, leaving it feeling very replenished and comfortable, it is weightless, absorbed very very easily and is fantastic to wear under make-up.

But the price!!!!! Ouch!!!!

Summary: Great moisturiser comes with a hefty price tag
