Effective, but not for long term use (Aveda Exfoliant Liquid)

I really liked this product until I saw the high level of alcohol it contains - which surprised me because Aveda are renowned for quality ingredients. Alcohol, as we know, is bad for the skin - it hardens it and can cause a lot of irritation. This exfoliating toner contains fruit acids to help exfoliate the skin, and I must say that it does work. it has a fresh light smell and wasn't, for me, at all irritating - although it does have a warning not to use it on the eye area. It's supposed to be for all skin types, but I would say that anyone with any degree of dry skin should stay well clear and it is effective in drying up excessive oiliness. It does seem like a pleasant product, but I'm too concerned about the possible detrimental effects to buy it again.
