If you have ever suffered from itchy scalp due to a build up of product, or been victim of chlorine from swimming and you have found that you may need to use more than 2 shampoos to get some life back into your hair, then maybe you need to invest in Aveda’s Hair Detoxifier. It is a shampoo that is especially designed to help remove all of the above without stripping the hair or making it dry. And, its great for hair that tends to be a bit greasy at the roots.

As with all Aveda products it is made from 100% organically grown plants, contains no chemicals and very eco friendly. Its primary cleansing agent is Coconut derived and it contains aloe to help soothe the scalp together with Sage to help clarify the hair.

Detoxifer has no unpleasant smell, just a fresh natural “Purefume” that comes entirely from the herbal ingredients. It’s a little thicker in consistency than other shampoos but does not require excessive rinsing and it leaves the hair & scalp feeling “clean”.

Use after swimming as a normal shampoo and follow with one of Aveda’s excellent conditioners. Or use once a week to remove any buildup of product.

I have used this product for over 2 years as a weekly treatment , especially when my hair and scalp itch,(normally caused by hot or humid weather), and I can honestly recommend this product as a restorative to lank and unmanageable hair.

Reasonably priced against other deep cleansing shampoos, but oh so lovely after a hot and sticky day.
