... "herby" and whilst the Foot Relief has just the right mix, I must admit I find it a bit overpowering in a hand cream. The fragrance also lasts for quite some time - great if you love the fragrance, not so great if you don't. Price wise, well at £16ish for a 125ml tube from the Aveda website, quite a lot for a handcream, and although it really does work well, the fragrance does put me off from buying it again, when there are lots of lovely smelling creams out there. If you do have very dry hands though, it would be wo...more

Premium Review Aveda Hand Relief: Makes your hands moisturise rich and smell like cakes! (487 words)

A bit about me: Generally I am not really one for spending a lot of money on cosmetics or creams. Apart from the odd treat at Christmas or birthdays, I will do a lot of research and pick the product that does the best job for as little cash as possible. Pretty much the area of my beauty regime that I will spend the least on, is my hands which is daft because due to years of eczema, my hands look far far older than I am. I am 35, my hands, bless em, are 60! Eczema has left them dry and extremely sensitive so I need to take care with the products I use. My mum gave me one of her half full tubes of Aveda Hand relief cream insisting that it was ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review I'm 27 but by hands are like an 80 yr olds....not after this ... (484 words)

You wouldn't have believed i'm only 27 from looking at my hands. They are always dry and wrinkly looking. The area round my cuticles is usually red, cracked and sore. This is partly due to washing up, but mainly due to the fact that i've never really taken care of my hands. Then whilst in Aveda buying some delicious smelling shampoo i saw a travel size of this and decided to give it a go. What Aveda say: Incredibly rich moisture therapy soothes dry, chapped hands--leaving them noticeably softer and smoother. Hydrating plant emollients, humectants, exfoliating fruit acids and anti-oxidants--including vitamins A and E--help diminish signs of aging and ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Aveda Hand Relief: Anyone for Hand Relief? (1286 words)
by - written on 21/10/08 (Very useful, 251 readings)

OK I shall get the obvious double entrendre out of the way first. It always makes me giggle when my husband has been working in the garden all day and comes in and moans about how dry his hands are and I as the dutiful wife ask him if he would like some Hand Relief. This used to bring a broad smile to his face until he realised I was offering him Aveda's Hand Relief - an intensively moisturising hand cream and not something else. I first came across this product as a samples which were put into my bag after I had purchased other Aveda products (anyone who has read any of my reviews knows I am quite an Aveda afficionado) and to be honest for years I just used ...  Read the complete review

It is worth buying this product just for the comedy value of the name alone - you definately get raised eyebrows when you say to your friends that they should take advantage of hand relief in the bathroom - sorry, I know, cheap joke, but does work every time. Bad comedy aside, this product is great for dry skins or hands in general that work hard. Just like its companion product Foot Relief, which I have already written about, this is a really rich cream which is lovely to apply. The cream is easily absorbed into the skin and leaves your hands feeling instantly softer without being at all greasy. The product does have a strong fragrance though - ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Aveda Hand Relief (231 words)
by - written on 10/03/09 (Useful, 49 readings)

I always use hand creams as my hands are prone to being very dry, but decided to buy the Aveda Hand Relief when recommended by a friend. It cost my around £15.00 which is more pricey than other hand creams that I tend to buy, but thought I would give it a go anyway. It comes in a small white tube with a screw lid, which is also recyclable, and says Aveda Hand Relief on the front with a picture of a little hand. The cream inside is quite thick, you only need a small blob in the palm of your hand. When you rub it is it immediately feels softer than other hand creams. It leaves your hands feeling moisterised for a long time, and I found that they ...  Read the complete review
