Advantages: good value for money, great hold

Disadvantages: can get sticky if you use too much

I first started using the aveda phomollient about a year ago. I could not find a mousse that i was happy with.

Most mousses left my hair feeling like a brick and then I would get the mousse drying out in my hair and flaking out, never mind trying to get the brush through it.

I find that this is about the only styling product that I need to use in my hair as it adds volume to my rather flat and lifeless shoulder length hair.

This is a mousse that can be used on all types of hair whether you are lucky to have thick hair or unfortunate to have hair like mine. It is also great if you have coloured and permed hair as this can help prolong the life of you perm.

If you like to blow dry your hair or use any other heated torture device, such as tongs, this helps to protect your hair from the heat.

The hold of this mousse is a normal to strong hold. If you apply a little you get less of a hold this could save money in the long run as you dont need to buy different holds of mousse.

The ingredients are what made me purchase and repurchase this mousse. There are no animal products or harmful products to the hair or the environment.
The ingredients are from such sourses as rice bran and coconut.

This mousse does have a very nice smell. Hard to explain

All of the ingredient are organically grown.

The best feture of this product is the way that it comes out of the bottle.

There is a pale pink liquid ,if you got a bottle in the last month its a darker pink now. when the pump is pressed the liquid is frothed up into a great non sticky foam which can then be applied to wet or dry hair.

Using this frother thing (sorry I dont know what else to call it) means that when you buy a bottle of mousse which is 200ml this is exactly how much mousse you get. You dont get a huge can that is filled mostly with propellant.

Another great feature is that the can is a clear plastic so you
can see how much you have left.

I bought my supply from QVC and I was £15.99 but this was for two bottles.

There are other stockists on the internet. It is also available from local aveda salons at about £15.00 per bottle.

A bit expensive for me but it sounds good. I'll stick with my Avon mousse because that works really well and smells divine.

I hope you don't mind me saying but you'll get more reads if you read and rate other peoples opinions so that you get your name known around the site. Then you can add people to your Circle of Friends too. :o) A x

I tried this once from QVC but I sent it back as it didn't make my hair look or feel any better than cheaper products. Julie
