Advantages: Good value, lasts ages, great to give your hair extra depth

The Aveda pure plant shampoos are best used in conjuction with the colour conditioners (£16.00 for 200g), however they do not work in the same way. While the conditioners will change your hair colour, the shampoos will just enhance the colour you already have. For instance, my hair colour is chestnut brown and I have blonde highlights. If I used the Clove colour conditioner, my highlights will be disguised so that they are not visible. The shampoo however will enrich the colour of my brown hair but will still leave the highlights visible.
I think that although this shampoo seems expensive it really does last a long time, I have long hair, and an amount equal to the size of a 50 pence piece will give me a fantastic lather. I have fine hair and have always had to use volumising products however, this shampoo, I find more than adequate.
I wash my hair almost every day and my 500ml bottle has lasted me about 2 months and still has about a third of the bottle left.
I bought it as part of a kit from QVC which had a tube of the colour conditioner, a 500ml bottle of the pure plant shampoo, a small bottle of their fantastic Firmata hairspray and a 250ml bottle of their detoxifier, which I use on average once/twice a week and still has enough in it to last me another month. The kit costs £30.
It is also available from HQhair.com selling at £9.00 for 250ml. I have just purchased a 1 litre bottle from QVC for £19.00 which is amazing value as I expect it to last me about 6 months. The 1 litre size also comes with a handy pump dispenser to minimize mess and waste.
