... down, and I can easily create volume when blow drying my hair. I don't have any static when using this shampoo and no lank or limp areas. I choose to wash my hair every day so I can blow dry my hair into a style but it certainly doesn't feel greasy in the morning. After drying my hair there isn't a noticeable scent - I just have clean and manageable hair! Suitability The bottle states: "weightless cleansing leaves fine to normal hair healthy and full of body". I find this to be 100% accurate as I do have f...more

Premium Review Aveda Rosemary Mint Shampoo: Squeaky Clean (867 words)

For years I'd been looking for shampoo to solve my problem: static, fly away hair. Up until I was 21 I had shoulder length hair with a few layers - nothing particularly stylish, and a hair style that I've since learnt did not suit my hair type. It was constantly battling with lank hair that I had to wash every day and I was totally addicted to straightening irons. I flitted between shampoos that were on special offer in Boots, always opting for the ones that claimed to repair and nourish the hair. However all this changed when I visited a new hairdresser 4 years ago. She said that my hair was thick in that I had a lot of hair but each hair shaft was quite fine and can't ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Rosemary and Mint - best left in the herb patch (354 words)

Firstly - a confession - this review is going to be a two-in-one review. As I use the Rosemary Mint Shampoo with the matching conditioner, I am not clever enough to work out whether the way my hair feels afterwards relates to the shampoo or the conditoner, so I will comment on both of them at once! Aveda is well known for its hair care products, and as such I have tried quite a few of their shampoos and to be honest have never really been bowled over by any particular one. However, ever the optimist I thought I would give the Rosemary Mint one a try in the hope that this one would live up to its reputation. As a shampoo, it is actually quite runny ...  Read the complete review

For my 19th birthday, my parents took me and my boyfriend down to London to see Eddie Izzard. It was a great couple of days, and after the show itself, my favourite thing about the trip was the hotel that we stayed in. My parents managed to find a good deal for us to stay in Hazlitts in Soho, which was a gorgeous building and posh in a comfortable way. The rooms were beautiful, especially the en suite bathrooms, which were gorgeous with massive and very deep baths. Having a hot relaxing bath in there on the morning of my birthday was fantastic, largely down to the size of the bath and niceness of the room, but also because of the free shampoo provided by the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review A nice enough shampoo (404 words)

A few months ago I was lucky enough to stay in the Westbury Hotel in Dublin. In case you didn't read my review of it, The Westbury is a super-swanky hotel in the heart of Dublin. As with most super-swanky hotels, they give you super-swanky toiletries in your bathroom. In this case, we were lucky enough to be given Aveda Rosemary Mint Toiletries. A few days ago, I was scrabbling round in my cupboard and found them all, so here comes the review...... Aveda Rosemary Mint Shampoo comes in a tall, 250ml, pearlescent bottle with a green lid. The shampoo itself is also pearlescent and slightly runny. When applied to wet hair, it lathers up really well and ...  Read the complete review
