... gorgeous maybe not instantly but if you take the time to inhale the aromas while lathering you will notice the various smells for the smell of coriander and lavender and lemon/orange smell stuck out the most and its quite luxurious treat in the shower expecially after a long stressful day/night. The shampoo itself lathers extremely well and you will only need about a 10p worth of shampoo for short-shoulder length hair and twice as much for longer hair so despte being pricey it does last a long long time. Premium Review Aveda Shampure: the only shampoo i will come to forever!!! (434 words)

the bottle looks exactly like it does in the picture it comes in a off-white plastic (partly recycled) bottle with a flip top lid for the 50ml and 250ml bottle and you can buy a dispenser for an extra 99p for the litre size bottles..as its almost impossible to use without a dispenser i think its a bit cheeky to have to pay for it! anyhow the 50ml is £3, the 250 ml is £9 and the litre bottle is 26pounds which actually works out the cheapest/ml and it does last an awful long time. The shampoo claims to contain 25 essential oils including lavender, coriander, rosemary, orange and morikue protein..extracted from brazilian nuts.. and it does smell gorgeous maybe not ...  Read the complete review

Have you ever fancied washing your hair with an aroma-therapeutic blend of twenty five pure flower and plant essences? Well, if you use Aveda's best selling shampoo "Shampure" then this is exactly what you will be doing. I am a big fan of the Aveda range of shampoos and conditioners and, since I was introduced to Shampure a few years ago, it has become one of my favourite haircare products. ~~ Background For those of you unfamiliar with the company, Aveda is based in America and is the manufacturer of a premier range of salon quality products and exclusive blends. They work on the principles of "Aromacology" which ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Aveda Shampure: Cruelty free but is it good for my hair? (243 words)

In my old age (27!) I've started to get a bit more green and ethical and have wanted to buy animal cruelty free shampoos. Aveda are totally cruely free in that neither the product or ingredients have been tested on animals. The main ingredients in this shampoo are: coriander oil, eucalyptus oil, lavender oil, orange oil bitter and wheat conditioners. The scent of this is really strong and those ingredients do come through in the scent. If you do not like strong scents then this may not be the shampoo for you as it is quite "heady" and the scent remains on your hair for a while! Now on the Aveda website it recommends that this shampoo is ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Everyday treat for Everyhead (288 words)

I started using Aveda shampoos about five years ago when I was pregnant and my hair had become a like a greasy floor mop. The first time I used it my hair was left soft silky and shiny, but so what almost every time I try a new shampoo it works the first time. That is where the difference between Aveda and other shampoo lies it continues to work time after time. When other brands start to build up and leave a dull residue on the hair. Aveda shampoos are all made using organically grown plant esscences and use coconut as the foaming agent not detergent. This means they do not strip the hair of it's natural oils or overstimulate the scalp. Thus they ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Aveda Shampure: No more greasy mop (300 words)

At last, I've found a shampoo that I really like! Usually, I use whatever shampoo that is nearest to hand and don't believe in spending alot of money on hair products....but I really love Aveda's "Shampure". My hair has been really greasy recently and was wondering if it was anything to do with the shampoo that I was using. I found myself having to wash it everyday, which I'm not used to. I first heard about this shampoo in several magazines and it was getting good write ups so I gave it a try. I got mine from the Space N.K shop. The only thing that I don't like about it is the smell, it reminds me of ginger, which ...  Read the complete review
