VTECH RIDE ON ALPHABET TRAIN
My daughter received this as a gift for christmas so before writing this review i have had a look online and found that is it available to purchase from amazon, smyths and toys r us and retails between £30-£40.
***THE PRODUCT***
The vtech alphabet train is suitable for ... children age 12 months plus, and requires 3aa batteries if you want the sound with it.
The train comes in 2 parts, the train itself and the carriage, plus 26 blocks, These blocks have a letter of the alphabet on one side and on the other a picture, (example, a-apple, b-ball) on the train it has a book that isn't removable with the alphabet and pictures it also has buttons numbered 1-5 in different colours and a slot to push the blocks through.
The carriage as 4 open sides and this is where the blocks are stored, they also fall down into here when pushed through the slot
***MY OVERALL OPINION***
My youngest daughter had this for christmas and she is only 5 months of age so it is not really a great toy for her at the moment, she does however like it when i sit her on it and push her around going choo choo.
My 2 older children also play with this, My middle daughter absolutely loves it and it is the first toy she goes to play with in the morning when we get up, she finds it amazing that the blocks fall into the carriage and loves riding around the living room on this.
My son who is 8 is also able to play on this and has no problems riding around on it ( he is very small for his age).
I really do like this train as it helps the child/children not only learn the alphabet, but also learn colours, words and numbers, It is made from good durable plastic that is easy to wipe clean and would be something that i would purchase myself Read the complete review |

VTech First Steps Baby Walker Plus

VTECH FIRST STEPS BABY WALKER
***THE PRODUCT AND PRICE***
The vtech walker we have is in pink and can be purchased from argos and tesco, My mum got this for my youngest for christmas and has said she paid £20.00 for it.
This is suitable to use in 2 ways, one is where the child can hold onto it as they are ... walking along for extra support and to play with the tray that is attached with the activities on, The other is to detach the tray so the child can play with this on the floor.
The main colours of this walker are pink, white and purple and it does require 3aaa batteries although, we have had ours since christmas and the batteries are still going strong.
The tray has a on/off switch and volume control button, It has a keyboard that are numbered and each a different colour, balls that spin around, butterfly and a phone that detaches from the tray.
***MY OVERALL OPINION***
My daughter is 5 months and the recommended age for this is 6 months, but she still likes to sit on the floor and play with the tray, my other daughter who is 3 also likes to play this, she likes to pretend she is on the phone to her daddy, but often loses the phone so then we spend ages going through all the other toys looking for this.
My daughter loves the flashing lights and laughs when we spin the balls around, I do think that this is a great toy but she will get much more use out of it in a few months time when she is able to do more herself, It can help children with walking, colours and numbers.
As mentioned above it does have volume control on this and I think that at the lower volume it is loud enough for myself and the kids Read the complete review |

ELC Baby Active Trampoline
by hopey123
I spotted a friend selling one of these on a online selling page so I brought it from her for my daughter who totally loves to bounce. I had kind of hoped that having her own trampoline then she'd stop using my bed as one but it still gets used to bounce on along with the trampoline. Obviously I don't mean the trampoline on the bed lol. ...
These trampolines are from the Early learning centre. I can't see this exact one on there but similar ones are priced £35-£45. This to me seems quite a lot when you can get the big garden ones for less then £100 these days.
This trampoline I'd say is suitable for 1-3 years old. My older son sometimes has a bounce on it but I'm sure he's going to go straight through it one day. Also he is taller and heavier and it does start to tip if he leans too much forward.
As the picture shows it has a pretty trim around it which is mainly for decor purposes. It has velcro fastening on it so can be taken off for cleaning if needed. It has a waterproof type material which would mean it would be safe left outside in the rain a couple times but wouldn't recommend leaving it outside long as I'm sure it would start to rust.
Each of the four legs have chunky rubber stoppers on them. The handle is covered with a rubber non slip grip handle. Also this would protect their head slightly if to bang it rather then straight onto the metal part.
The actual bouncy part is a fine mesh and holds my daughter fine and she happily bounces on it. I personally think she still prefers the bed though as on the trampoline you have to stay in one place on it. The outer part of the mesh which you can see in the picture which is green has a little bit of padding in it.
This has made home in my daughters bedroom and I tend to keep it against the wall so she is bouncing facing the wall, so if she did tip forward it she isn't going to fall anywhere neither is she.
In my opinion this is a good buy for me at £3 but for £45 I'm not so sure. Read the complete review |
