... have bought a product very similar than this for my son. We have this particular product at the childcare centre where I work. My son is not quite sitting up on his own but he is betting frustrated when lying down. An activity ring is ideal for him, as I sit him in the middle leaning up the side for support, with his toys inside. He loves to be able to sit up and have his toys within reach. ELC Blossom Farm Activity Arch and Quilt ... bought this before my baby was born as i wanted her to have something to lay down on which was soft for both her tummy time and when she lays on her back . I liked the fact it was colourful and that it had a detachable arch and toys. My baby reguarly laid on her mat and enjoyed looking up at the animals and as she got older grabbing at them. Also when she did tummy time we took the animals off the arch and laid them on the mat for her to look at. Now shes 6 months and can sit up unaided she doesn t really like to lay on it but the detachable toys are great to take off for her to play with. Galt Playnest ... bought this from a local toy shop for £28.99 (I know they are roughly priced 22-30) as I wanted something for my then 6month old child to help with sitting up - as we preiviously had a flat floor mat and I felt that we now needed to progress! The ring is easy to put together as it is just an inflatable ring and a cover. Once put up the child can then sit in the middle and use the sides as support this helps to teach them to support themselves. It is a little bit padded in the bottom for comfort and there are various activies on the cover - ours was farm animals - to amuse baby! ELC Blosson Farm Sit Me Up Cosy ... s also a pink version of this item but we had this gender non specific one. This is a great life saver as from birth our little one was snuggled up in this nest style and look safe and cosey (and very cute). In fact she probably spent most of her first few months in it. It was a bit fiddly to blow up and get the plastic noodles inside their cases but wasn t too demanding - just put them in half inflated then continue. Once set up we did think it took up a lot of space - but once our daughter got to about 4 months we reliased that other toys were a lot bigger (not that this is a toy).
