February 2006 and my daughter, Olivia, makes her first bid for freedom by pulling herself up against the sofa. Overcome with parental joy we decided that the ideal first birthday present for her would be something that encouraged these first attempts. So when Mr Historywitch made his next trip back to the UK with the car in April, he was under instructions to bring back a push along car or similar. He did, but he also brought back this little surprise as well. We set it up immediately (I have never been very good at keeping presents back!) and it was there to surprise my daughter the next morning. How did it arrive? It arrived in pieces in a box ... Our ELC My First Trampoline was something that we bought secondhand from a car boot sale. When we saw it we were in 2 minds about whether it was a good idea or not as sometimes children and trampolines don't mix very well. However this little babies first trampoline is something that is much closer to the floor than most trampolines are and so we hoped it wouldn't pose the same hazards that the bigger ones can do. ********************************************************** Once we took our ELC My First Trampoline home we gave it a light sponge clean and it came up rather nicely. Its made of sturdy materials with a compact metal frame and sits ... Read the complete review

Children love bouncing around on trampolines, but the problem for parents and care givers is the worry that they may fall and sustain some king of injury. This model is fantastic in many respects, but one of the main ones being the height from which the trampoline is raised. This relatively small distance provides a compromise in that young children can enjoy bouncing, and carers can be safe in the knowledge that their child has only a small distance to fall should they take a tumble. This is a remarkably strong and durable trampoline for £20. Perhaps one of the reasons for the low cost however, is the fact that the trampoline is self-assembly. I loathe ... I bought this trampoline for my daughter from the early learning centre as one of her Christmas presents when she was 18 months old. She had fallen in love with her cousin's trampoline and had to be practically prised from it every time we visited. So me and my husband decided to get her one for Christmas. The early learning centre trampoline appealed to me as it looked so sturdy and well made. It has a thick rail which helped my daughter to maintain her balance whilst bouncing. This rail was the perfect height in order for her to hold tightly. The trampoline is only slightly raised from the floor which offers peace of mind for anxious mums and dads. I know it ... My daughter is suddenly a little firework. So much energy for a 1 year old. Never wants to sleep, just wants to play. I knew a trampoline would be a big hit as she had played with them at activity centres and also I had one as a child and loved it. The question was where was we going to put it? We only live in a 2 bedroom flat and we are already drowning in her toys. This would definately have to wAit until the summer when it could go in the garden! So.....when my brother in law roughy this for my daughter for Christmas to say I was a little flummoxed as to where to put it would be N understatement. To start with it was built on Christmas day as They just ... Read the complete review
