ELC My First Trampoline
Disadvantages: none so far
When I saw this at the bootsale I just couldn't resist buying it for the £5 that was being asked for it as I had looked at the prices of these online some months earlier and found them to be around the £28-£30 price range, which for a childs toy isn't too bad but why pay more when you can get things cheaper, I love the bootsales for childrens toys as you get them at around a third of the price or less if your prepared to barter with the stall holder.
This was already assembled when I bought it so I didn't have the fiddly job of putting it together, it just popped into the booty of my car and came in the door of the house to be instantly bounced upon by my grandson Oscar who is now fourteen months old and full of beans.
The trampoline is padded around the edges so that he can't hurt himself if he climbs on it and there is a handle that he can hold onto as he bounces about.
He can get on and off it by himself now.
However, this is something he does have to be supervised on as he plays as he has no sence of danger and will try and launch himself off it instead of sitting down to climb off it, which he can do but he loves to try and give his nana a hearty attack, as he's quite a daredevil and seems to have no fear and constantly lets go of the handle as he bounces so has to be watched as he plays on this.
He spends around ten minutes a time on it as he gets bored easily and won't stand still long before he's off adventuring onto the next toy or trying to get over the baby gates to get outside, so as it isn't a large trampoline it does fit under our stairs for storing away.
Value for money wise, I can't complain at the price I paid. The trampoline is well made and has been made with the childs safety in mind, the trampoline sits squarely on the floor and doesn't tip and the handle is safe for holding so the child doesn't fall off, having said that oscar has fallen off it once as he let go of the bar and dived down to get off and toppled off, but not all children are as lively as him and he learns quickly, as it made him cry and he hasn't done it again since.
Having said that I still watch him when he plays on it.
I find that this does tire him out a little as he has bags of energy and loves to play and bounce on this toy. I haven't put it outside yet and probably will keep it for indoors as it's something Oscar uses daily in his play.
All in all I rate this a 8 out of ten and would recommend it to you if your looking for an entertaining toy for your child to burn energy off on.
Summary: great for burning energy and tireing the child out
