Advantages: Musical, lights, fun swing for a baby with 8 different speeds, and toy hangings.

Disadvantages: No proper head support

This swing has been used for both my children and they both liked it. It says it is suitable from birth to 25lbs but there is no proper head support and I wasn't comfortable putting my newborn there until he was older. Bare in mind it does have a deep cradle seat but I still felt and saw that a newborn head can easily fall to the side. It requires 4 CC batteries and plays music and colourful lights appear, also it contains 8 speeds to choose from to swing your baby to sleep or settle them which is useful.

What I like about this product is the fact that you can choose to put the lights on and music with a variable volume control continuiously or if the baby pulls the toys on the side also the lights and music comes on. It does keep a child busy and a mother can get on with other things or sometimes when my baby was not settling at all I would put him in the swing put the lights and music on and swing quite fast on and soon he would be off to sleep. Also even if he was in a playful mood he would just play with the two colourful toys that are at the side and even on the seat belt there is a lovely soft toy that he put in his mouth. Therefore it was great entertainment and I especially enjoyed seeing his amazment when he pulled the toys and the lights/music switched on. It is brilliantly designed.

It comes in a colourful blue and yellow shade and is a take along swing meaning that you can fold it and carry it along with you around the house. It is easy to clean too as the cover just comes off and can go in the washing machine. You can choose and adjust the songs and there are soothing themes as well as playful ones.

We bought it from mothercare and I can't remember the exact price at that time but I can see the price varies from £50 to £70.

It doesn't have many negative points apart from that they should design the seat better so a newborn baby can have more head support and also I noticed the batteries run out very quickly, which can be annoying. But then again I still use the swing without batteries too and can push the baby manually to sleep at times.

Of course I don't feel it should be used to keep the baby in all the time as that's not healthy for the baby but at times when a mother needs a break or a place where the baby can have occasional daytime naps.

Summary: Great product
