This was one of those items that you see and simply must have. It was top of my baby wish list and ...... it was a disaster buy!! This attractive looking toy is a playmat that has 2 arches over it with toys that hang down. The mat is beautiful, it has lots of lovely bright picures of fish and flowers on it and also a black and white pattern that fascinates newborns. The mat is quite narrow meaning that once baby can roll he is straight off it. Also down the side of the mat are strips of thick platic that are used to attach the arches to. This plastic used to catch my son's head. As for the gym, I found that as soon as by baby hit it the whole thing collapsed onto him. There was no chance of him being hurt as they are made from material but I spent all day fixing them back upright! Once he could kick with any force it was game over. The toys haging from the gym were platic and attached with velcro. They look like some sort of strange flower with eyes. This toy then converts into a tunnel for a more mobile baby. The mat fits between the arches to provide a canopy and the toys hang from the entrance and exit. I cannot comment on this as I lost my temper with it well before my son could crawl and packed it away. This looks like a wonderful gym but believe me I bought the Toys R Us gym for under a tenner and it was much better. Anyway if you still want one of these you could buy mine for a fiver at the car boot on Sunday. Thanks for reading.
I was very impressed by the look and idea of this so I bought it for my daughter. It consists of a soft brightly coloured fabric mat which can be laid on or used to make a tunnel, 4 activity toys that attach by velcro and soft bendy tubes that fit into plastic supports. It can be set up as a play mat for you newborn to lay on, the tubes are bent to make two arch shapes that the toys attach to at the baby’s head and feet. Then for the older baby thread the tubes through the sides of the mat and turn it into a tunnel to crawl through. I do like it but not as much as I thought I would. Thai hated to lay on it, I think the tubes upset her so it wasn’t until I could turn it into a tunnel that it saw some use. The toys are very stimulating for very young babies but I think from about 8 or 9 months they don’t seem to do enough to keep her happy. Saying that they have frequently been used for her teething! It is good and I would recommend it but it’s not as good as I thought it would be. I think I would be happy if the toys were more exciting and the tunnel was longer.
A brightly coloured mat and playhouse in one which aims to amuse baby from the stage of kicking all the way to crawling. The mat converts into a playhouse for baby to crawl through /
