Well I must say pretty much everyone you know that has had a baby will have experience fisherprice jumperoo and just how amazing they are. Well how fantastic work from fisherprice that they have upgraded this product and brought out the new version. My son is 10 months old and this is one item I purchased prior to his arrival. My daughter now 6, had the old style jumperoo when she was young and again I couldn't praise the item enough. So now with another one here this jumperoo has taken pride of place in the lounge and is the activity toy that is used by my son daily he loves it and which little one wouldn't. Great for strengthening their leg muscles too with all the sounds and play accessories attached this is a must for any little baby out there. The upgraded version has many more added features don't let the price put you off.
I am absolutely in love with this item, I did a lot of research on this bouncer before buying it myself and found lots of people infact almost everybody found this bouncer to be the best on the market too! I previously bought the bounce and spin froggy and honestly did not find it lived up to its claims, it was almost a bit flimsy so I took it back and bought the jumperoo instead which although was slightly more pricey it did not disappoint. It is very sturdy and strong and has loads of fun noices and activitys, and kept my not very contented baby happy for a while anyway. The only problems with the toy is that you need a lot of room because it is big and needs its own space as it does not store unless you take it all appart, but thats because it is so sturdy, it does take quite a while to set up and the music does get a bit repetitive after a while as with all musical toys. Also it is very easy to get on with jobs as baby is kept entertained, but you are not ment to leave baby unattended which I must say is very easy to forget as having a few minutes of baby being entertained to yourself!
Overall this product is well worth the money and gets a great review from me and it seems everyone else as well!!!!!
This has got to be the most amazing and worthwhile invention that every child must have.
I will start by telling you that this is rarther expensive. We payed £80 from toys r us this christmas for my daughter who is 5 months old. The only reason that I bought it was for me to see how it worked and how good it was and it is absolutely amazing.
This came in a big box which was quite heavy to carry so if you are not driving I would have it delivered, because it was a christmas presant it was kept in our bedroom for 2 months and that was mainly because we thought it would take so long to set up.
When we opened the box all the pieces were wrapped in plastic to protect them and there seemed to be minimal pieces to put together. All the pieces slotted together the only time you needed to use a screw driver was to put the batteries in the activity tray. It has a large metal circle that has 3 green feet on them which have 3 metal curved bars that go up in the air with blue balls on the ends of them which toys attach to above the childs head. There is a white activity tray that is in the middle of the side bars that is attached to the side bars with strong pieces of elastic that is coved in brightly coloured orange fabric. Their is an activity tray that clips on the front of the tray which has 6 different toys on it a lion, a carosel, a red flashing duck, a blue crocodile, a purple flashing hipo and a ball that spins around. There is a handle that attaches from the carosel and the ball so that when it it attached the child can carry it around with them to play with. This part also has the volume button on the front which is settings off, volume level 1 and volume level 2.
The seat that is in the middle of the play tray is attached by hooks underneath to keep it secure. This is brightly coloured around the edges and has a big chimps face where the head rest is. You dont see this design when the child is in it but really gives it a good luck when it is not being used. The chair in the middle also spins round 360 degrees so the activity tray has other toys going all around you have a spinning dile with pictures of animals on, a purple activity tray with a handle that has a wobbly whale and a fish that spins round, there is a spinning tube that has little plastic balls in it and a floppy plant that has a green floppy stalk and a purple grapes shape on the end. The child when old enough can push themselves around in a circle without moving around the room to play with all the toys and if it is placed in the centre of the room it gives them the freedom to look around the room at other people or objects. This is also good if you have other children because they are safe from the ones that run around and could hurt the baby.
One the blue balls on the top of the side bars green leaves made from material slot in the top of them and have soft toys dangling from them but this is only on the two at the front there is a bird on one side and a banana on the other.
The music plays when the child is placed inside the chair and makes movement to the tray such as bouncing and swaying. My daughter is only 5 months old and can sit in the chair unaided because there is alot of support on the chair and her toes touch the floor and within a week of christmas she has learnt to bounce in it which is wonderful to watch she has a big smile on her face and giggles uncontrolably. I have also noticed that my other children are amused by it too because they bounce along with her jumping infront of her and making her laugh more.
The elastic pieces that hold the chair in place and make it bounce have 3 different levels for the different growth ages. So as your child gets taller you can higher the activity chair so they are able to bounce in it. Your child has to be able to sit almost unaided to use this but my daughter has not had much problem sitting in this because of the support. Their is also a limit to weight and height which means they will need to come out of it but I would say that this will be when my daughter is about 10 months old so she will get some use out of it and I have already got someone who will be buying it from me when my daughter has grown out of it. Unfortunatley I can not tell you what the weight or height restrictions are due to I have threw the box away and have lost the instructions which is not hard in our house.
This has been the best investment in my house and is worth the money if you are going to be using it with more than one child. I am a bit dissapointed with the fact that you are not able to take it places with you because you would have to take it apart to take it places. My daughter gets alot of enjoyment out of this and I am very glad that I bought her this.
We have recently purchased this jumperoo for our four month old son. It generally retails for £94.00 but we amanaged to purchase it in argos in the clearance for £60.00. We were a bit hesitant to spend sp much on a toy for our son but we were encouraged to buy the product after hearing so many positive reviews for it and if we purchased the porduct while our son is young he will get plently of use from it.
The jumperoo consists of a free standing metal frame which means that no doorways are needed for the baby to jump. Attached to the frame is a plastic play tray with a variety toys and the baby sits in the play tray on a ' swively' monkey seat. The jumperoo rewards the baby for jumping up and down with lights , sound and music- these will become annoying eventually like all baby toys. Although our son is not quite old or strong enough yet to make full use of the bouncing. The toys that are on the tray consist of a press down crocodile that spins the lion and lights up a bird and a hippo. The lion also swivels manually. Also on the tray there is a spinning fish, a flippy hippo a bobbing whale and a spinning ball which has got polar bear and a penguin inside. Hanging from the frame there is a soft toy bird and a soft banana for baby to bat at. These would benefit from being rattles.
The seat has three height levels to adjust as your little one grows- at presant we have a sushion underneath the seat as he is still a little bit too small on the smallest setting.
As yet our baby has not quite got the hang of the jumperoo but I am hoping that he starts to enjoy it more in the future- his favourite toy at the moment is the spinning polar bear. We are hoping that that our son will grow into the toy and will learn that he can swivel the seat arounnd
The jumperoo does require some home assembly but was easy to set up. It does however take up a lot of room in our living room- however if he does make full use of the toy it will be worth it.
I would say that the price tag is quite steep for this toy especially at £95.00 but hopefully it will get utilised fully by our son and any future children.
Quick update- Now that we have had this toy for a while I can say that it has been one of the best purchases we could have made my boy- now six months old loves it he jumps up and down like a mad thing- and it is a godsend between five and six pm when it is grumpy hour.
