... this gym was a god send. Initially I used to put my baby on the gym and play the music while letting me watch the flashing lights above him. I thought this was brilliant as lots of other baby gyms, don't really have any features, they just have arches with hanging toys. So from day one my little one was able to engage this with gym. As he got older, he loved kicking the different toys and feeling the different textures of the toys. There are plastic ones, soft ones, silky ones etc. The option to make the gym play...more

Premium Review Fisher Price Rainforest Gym: LOVE this!! (471 words)

When my son was 6 weeks old i decided it might be time to buy an activity gym because, all though he was still very young, i wanted to do all that i could to get him learning and developing. I also wanted him to have some fun! I was attracted to the Fisher Price Rainforest Gym because of it's gorgeous bright colours and i loved the animals. It was a toss up between this gym or the Fisher Price Precious Planet Gym, in the end we chose this one simply because of the colours. We bought it from Mothercare for £59.99. The cheapest i have seen it is in Argos for a few pound less, but they had sold out! This gym has two arches with a silky ...  Read the complete review

This is a beautiful play mat decorated with a very tasteful rainforest scene and friendly baby animals with 3 loops for attaching toys. There are ribbons to touch on the smiley sunset, a tail to tug on the baby zebra and a leaf to lift up and scrunch in the corner. Two interlocking arches create the over hanging gym where you can attach the toys provided: Parrot with a spinning wheel, monkey, frog mirror, toucan, and an elephant with rotating rattle. The arches themselves blend nicely into the rainforest theme one half sporting a green which matches the mat and the other is split into a rainbow and a 3d giraffe. Dangling from the centre of the arches is ...  Read the complete review

The Rainforest Melodies and Lights Deluxe baby gym was one of the first purchases that I made when we discovered that I was expecting. I had seen this gym on various websites at a standard price of £49.99, but was encouraged to buy when I saw it on offer in Toys R Us. Now that our baby is here, I can confirm that this was a great purchase! It consists of 2 toy bars - which fit into the electric panel, and a soft play mat. The panel at the top has 4 lights in it, which can be seen when your baby lies underneath and this also houses the speakers. This is also where the lights and sounds are switched on and off. There is a choice of 2 volumes and 3 modes ...  Read the complete review

This Fisher price Rainforest gym is usually price at around £49.99, it is one of the more expensive gyms but it has lots of features to keep little one happy. This is suitable for use from birth. This gym plays music, has nature sounds, lights up, and has lots of different textures to help stimulate baby. The music can be activated by parent or baby. It has a thick play mat that can be washed, which makes it easy to clean. Like all fisher price toys this is of great quality, and is very durable, and is a long lasting toy. There are four arches that the animals hang from that can be detached to be moved to different hanging areas, or they can be ...  Read the complete review

Like many other items for your baby, there is a lot of choice with play gyms and it can be hard to know which is best to get. They don't come cheap, so you want to be sure you are making the right decision. I went with personal recommendation in the end, and bought this Fisher Price Rainforest gym. It cost £49.99 and can be bought from high street stores or online, but I strggled to find it cheaper than this, and it has in fact gone up another fiver since I bought it. My daughter wasn't particularly interested in it until she was about 6 weeks old, and since then has spent longer and longer periods being amused by it. It consists of a brightly ...  Read the complete review
