Advantages: great activities, good quality easy to assemble

Disadvantages: Rather large

I bought this jumperoo a few months ago from Argos when it was on a special offer; I only paid £60 so I got a real bargain.
My son is now 4 months old and holds his head and back very well so I decided yesterday to set it up.

Assembly:

When I fist got it out of the box it was flat packed and I first thought oh my goodness, this is going to take forever, however I was very pleasantly surprised! I was too excited and eager to put it together so instead of reading through the instructions, I managed to put it together by just looking at the picture on the box, the only thing I needed the instructions for was to attach the material seat to the base which I found very simple to do. (The instructions which I later did look at just to check for safety are very simple to follow in easy steps and also pictures to make it easier.)

It is as I have said very easy to fit together, no tools are needed apart from fitting batteries into one of the musical activities which fitted onto the jumperoo, but they were easily installed with a Phillips screwdriver and required just 3 AA batteries.

The base is very simple to put together as you just need to hold down the metal buttons on each pole one by one and they just click together.

The seat and poles it is suspended on comes already fitted together therefore they fit onto the base in the same way.

The material seat cover simply hooks over the seat pegs on the base and is then pulled through the base. (Very simple) and the whole base just simply clicks onto the inside of the activity centre.
All you then have to do is click the separate activity toys onto the activity centre, I would advise fitting the batteries first though.

The stickers come already on the base therefore no silly fiddling.
All you then need to do is adjust the elastic to your baby's height and away you go!

The Jumperoo as an activity:

My baby loves this toy, he loves to be on his feet and sometimes got frustrated when lying on his baby gym or in his activity ring, therefore he absolutely loves this and it is the ideal toy for him.

The seat can spin all of the way around and there are interactive activities attached to the base, such as a spinning globe with a cute animal inside, a pop up tiger, a spinning globe with a sunshine inside and a butterfly (or it could be a dragonfly) on a plastic floppy tube, it does show on the box that it stands on end but it doesn't, it is floppy, my son likes this though because he can get it in his mouth!
There is also a musical light up activity bar with an elephant, monkey and parrot, this plays music and animal noises and the volume can be adjusted. (This also flashes and plays the music or sounds when my son bounces up and down.)

There are also leaves which fit into the bars above the baby's head with a parrot and a frog hanging from them.

Although it is a sit in activity, my son can move around very well, due to the spinning seat and being able to bounce up and down and also it can jiggle to and fro.

Safety Advice:

*Only use for a child who is able to hold their head up unassisted
*Only use if the child is not able to climb out
*Do not use if child weighs over 12kg (26lb)
*Never leave the child unattended
*Be cautious where the jumperoo is used, for example do not put it near a pool or steps
*Must be placed on a flat level surface
*Do not use as a swing
*Ensure correct positioning of the child in the seat

The recommend time limit for each use is 20 mins.

I have researched as to why there is a time limit and I have discovered that playing for very long periods of time in a bouncer is not good for baby's developing hips and spine, however I am in no way a professional, therefore I would just follow the manufacturers safety advise!

Storage:

The jumperoo can be folded and stored way whe not in use by pressing a frame release button and folding the base tubes inwards. This makes it a little smaller but it is still quite large.

Cleaning:

The activity centre is surface wipeable, the individual activities can be u clipped for washing and the seat cover is machine washable.

Happy bouncing!

Summary: A great activity bouncer and although expensive will grow with your baby
