We bought the playnest for our daughter when she was a baby and probably started putting her in it as of 4 months. She was a little overwhelmed to start with but soon absolutely loved it. It is soft, bright and colourful and there is a mirror which can be twisted at the very top so that it shows the sun on one side and a mirror on the other. She also had a butterfly attachment full of crinkly material which she loved to bash as she got bigger! From memory there was also a duck with a squeaky beak on the outside of the nest and a sheep with touchy feely wool like material on it's tummy. So definitely lots to look at and play with at that age and it is a very handy enclosure to put your baby in while you are trying to get the housework done!
