      Very helpful

Great to help free up mums and dads

This was bought for my son when he was a baby, I already had 2 other children so this as seen as a very useful mothers help!

It is a battery operated baby swing which has won several awards including a "practical parenting" award and is suitable from birth to 11kgs ( about 9 months). The swing is designed to rock the baby backwards and forwards to entertain them and to keep your hands free.

The swing is set inside a solid metal frame, the bottom of the frame has rubber grips on it to prevent slipping. The swing is designed to sit like a car seat and has padded covers for comfort. These are fully removable and washable.

The swing has 6 speed settings from very slow ( barely moving) to a fairly quick rocking motion. Once you have selected your desired speed it takes about a minute to reach it.

The buttons which control the speed also control the music settings. The swing plays upto 10 different nursery rhymes and you can alter the volume. The buttons all have markings on them so you know what each one can be used for. We didn't really use the music on this, if my son was trying to sleep then it wasn't needed and if he was playing I would have the radio on. There are only so many times you can listen to the same songs!

The seat can be reclined into 3 different positions depending on what you are using the swing for. There are 2 buttons at the back of the swing which just click into place to change the position. If I was using the swing to rock my son to sleep then I would put the seat back on the furthest position from the activities as it was more of a lying down position. If I was using it just to entertain him then I would use the position where he was more upright so he could observe what was happening around him. This was very useful.

The seat has a 3 point harness to strap baby into the swing. You need to lift up the tray by pushing in a button on the side. Put baby in and then push the tray back down until it clicks back into place. The tray on the front of the swing has a little plastic toy for baby to grab. This is detachable and to be honest we took it off and put other toys on the tray instead.

The swing is easy to fold for storage, just click in the 2 buttons at the top of each side of the frame and fold down.

The swing comes with a neck support for younger children to help support their neck and head.

It takes 4xD batteries to make the swing work and the batteries do last a long time.

I found this swing ideal for my son. He loved it, it would rock him to sleep (instead of me having to do it!) and as he got older it was a great place for him to sit and play without me having to support him.

The only gripe I have is that the tray is quite narrow, if it had been a bit wider it would have been easier to use for a snack tray and for other toys.
