We bought the Graco swing for our daughter when she was about 3 weeks old. It's been great for her. It has 6 swing levels, and 3 different volumes for the music (however, the music can get on your nerves after a while!) It's good when she's just a little crabby and can't get to sleep, and because the seat is adjustable, it reclines nicely for a newborn. We've only had 2 problems with it. One, that her foot got caught when we closed down the tray in front of her, and two, that there are some sharp edges that she grabbed onto one time when we lifted her out which resulted in a cut hand. Now that we're aware of those things, ... Read the complete review

When my son was born he would only go to sleep if you constantly rocked him in your arms. After a few weeks this began to get quite difficult so my mum saw this swing and tried to buy one for ne. Everywhere she went they were sold out and in the end we ordered it from babydirect on the internet. Although it was quite expensive (£100) it has been extremely useful. There are 3 different speed settings and music that can play and different volumes. You can also position the seat to full lie back or upright for when they get a bit older. My son was always falling asleep in at and now 7 months old still enjoys it. Even though it only goes upto a weight of 25lbs, so my son ... Read the complete review

My son hates to be put down, he loves cuddles and being im my arms all day long ... and as you can imagine this stops me from getting much done around the house. I can quite easily get him to sleep in my arms but the moment I try to put him down its as if he knows and so he wakes up almost automatically. then I discovered the graco advantage swing ... as recommended by a fellow dooyooer. It was a bit pricey at £99 from mail order catologue ... but I put him in it to test it out whilst he was still wide awake and within ten minutes th rocking motion had lulled him in to a cosy and happy sleep. He stayed asleep for over an hour and thats longer than I have ever ... Read the complete review

I wasn’t sure whether I should buy a swing or not, the mothering population seems to be divided on whether it’s a fantastic buy or a pure waste of money. Being such an expensive item it was not a decision I wanted to make without listening to people’s experiences and in the end I decided that it was worth buying. The pack is very large so you really need a car to transport it and you have to put it together yourself. I found the instructions very easy to follow and on the whole it was easy to assemble taking no more than about ¾ of an hour. The seat has a soft cover that is removable for washing and a 3-point harness, which is ... Read the complete review

This swing is amazing. I love it. This was an impulse purchase from toys r' us and it cost £49.99 as it was in the 50% off sale. You can buy this swing almost anywhere and the price varies but I would say that is generally between £49.99 and £99.99. They even let us have another £5 off as we had to have the last one of the swings which was the display one. They told us that they had sold over 300 of the swings in a fortnight! We got it home and even though we didn't have instructions (because we had the display swing) we had no problems putting it together. My daughter is 10 weeks old and has had teeth coming through for the last few weeks so is very irritable ... Read the complete review
