... (securely!) on a frame and has six rocking settings. It also has a selection of nursery rhymes (albeit extremely tinny ones) to play while your little one is being rocked. The volume of the tunes has 3 settings and blissfully an 'off' switch.

Well experienced parent-friends of ours recommended that we invest in a automatic swinging chair before our baby was born in April this year. This was one of the better pieces of advice that we received whilst expecting! Looking at new swinging chairs on the internet, we were horrified to see the price tags; some were over £100! We headed (in a virtual sense of the word) to eBay where there were lots to choose from, including this model which we picked up for a measly £10.
