“ Brand: Graco / Type: Activity Gyms „
This toy has provided hours of entertainment for my little one. I put him in it from when he could support his own weight and he loved it! It has a good variety of toys on it such as a spinning ball, squeeky button and soft toys. They make various noises and have different textures. My child very quickly learnt to spin himself round on the seat and he didnt seem to have any problems doing so.
The toys are very hard wearing and all survived teething! The base of the toy itself can be highered/ lowered according to your child and this is very simple to do. My baby was very comfortable and safe in the toy and I felt comfortable to leave him in the toy whilst I got on with some housework, it is perfect for keeping your child occupied whilst you get on with necessary tasks.
The only problem I had with this toy was that after a couple of months one on the yellow 'feet' kept slipping and I had to keep pushing it back up, by the time this started my child had almost grown out of it anyway but this obviously prevented me from being able to leave him in the toy once this started.
After a trip to the toy store with my daughter she was inseparable to this play centre. Which is why my soft spot convinced me to get it for her. I was a bit disappointed with the price as it seemed a bit excessive at 100 euro but as they were sold out and I ended up buying the demo model I got it for 70 euro.
It consists of a swivel seat that your child can spin themselves in order to play with the surrounding toys. It is meant for children 6 months and up. It should only be used when your baby can hold their heads and have that support.
My daughter was beginning to crawl and I was finding it increasingly hard to do housework as I had to keep a constant eye on her. This play centre allowed me to place her safely in an enjoyable atmosphere for a short time as I organised the house. It is easy to carry from one room to the next but it is quit large to store when not in use.
My daughter used it until she started to walk and i found it brilliant. She loved playing with all the surroundings toys and the seat I'd removable so it can be put in the washing machine. It gets dirty easily with a small baby and hard to clean around the toys but I would recommend to all parents!
I was bought this Graco fun rock for my son a couple of Christmases ago and he loved it when he was growing up. He is now over 2 years old and is getting a bit big of it now, but he did really enjoy it and I hope to pass this on to our other son when he is old enough too. It is essentially an activity station that really keeps the interest of young babies for hours.
This activity station is made by Graco and I have to admit it's refreshing to have a few toys that aren't made by VTech, even though I do love VTech myself too. Graco to me seem pretty reliable and are renowned for their durable and stable products like puschairs. Their product is great. The swivel seat can be removed and washed which is always handy,as I'm sure most of you are aware babies can be very messy. In regards to this swivel seat it moves on three wheels and this enables you child to access all the toys on the tray.
In regards to the toys your child can play at this workstation, there are eight interactive toys and I'm sure your child will love them as mine did. There are toys that make sounds and music and they can all be played with. Some of the toys will squeak and it helps your child learn as he or she will know when something squeaks when pressed.
Then, in addition there is a mirror that your child should love as he or she looks at himself or herselp and check themselves out. There are two modes for this activity station. You can either have it rocking while your baby plays around or have it stable, whichever you prefer.
Now, the size of this product is fairly big so that might put some people off, but as long as you have places to store this when not using it they you may be okay. In my opinion this station should be used for baby's that are 6 months upwards when your baby starts to sit up unaided.
I believe you can pick up this nowadays for £49.99 if you shop around and that's not bad value for what you get out of it and occupies your children.
For me, this toy was well worth it and my son did really love this and found it very entertaining.
I bought this Graco entertainer for my daughter when she was a baby, I found it an absolute godsend to keep her amused whilst doing my ironing or other general housework.
It is basically a sit in activity centre with the added benefit of her being able to stretch out her legs and take the weight on her feet if she chose to.
It is a circular design with a fitted seat in the centre which rotates 360 degrees which allowed my daughter to spin her body around with ease to reach the different interactive toys around.
The seat is removable and machine washable, and through experience it washes well.
The interactive toys include a spinning ball filled with beads which rattled when spun around, a soft textured fish and octopus. There is also an activity globe type toy and a plastic arch with moveable rings around it. Unfortunately there is also the dreaded squeaky lobster (yes this became very annoying as it is so loud!) But the good thing about it was, it could be removed, which I did eventually. (I know im a spoilsport, but it was so very loud.)
The base is designed so that it can either give a gentle rocking motion with the baby's movements or it can be stabilised by using the attached feet to keep it steady.
Also there are three different height adjustment positions which can be locked, therefore as your baby gets taller it adjusts to his or height.
As stated in the guidance for this activity centre, it is only Intended for use only by a baby who is at the development level of being able to sit upright unassisted and cannot yet walk.
The centre as well as the removable cover is also very easy to clean; I sprayed mine and wiped it over with an antibacterial cleaner. It is also quite light to carry around.
The only things I found let it down was that it was very space consuming in my small lounge and that dreaded lobster!
We first tried one of these at a friends house. We'd gone to visit and needed somewhere to contain our lively 6month old. She was thrilled and did not want to get out! I love the idea of these play centres as my daughter who loved to stand bounce and move could do all of these things and play with toys at the same time. She quickly figured out how to spin aroudn to get what she wanted, and it kept her amused for ages.
We decided to rent one for a month from our local toy library as we didn't have the space to buy one ourselves. It had obviously been well loved as several of the toys were easily pulled out and thrown across the room, but this was a fun game of it's own.
I will definitely be renting this again when my son is a bit older!
i have bought one of these for my now 7 month old daughter she has had it about a month, hers is bright pink though i got it for 40 pounds new from ebay . on opening it i was a little bemused at all the parts but quickly figured out how to put it together, although the seat is very fiddly to do all the toys slot on and just 2 screw to tighten so even easy for a Blondy to do (lol). my daughter can just reach now but cant manage to turn herself around yet although saw a clip on you have been framed with a baby whizzing round and round in one very funny. there are about 8 different toys one musical a ball that rolls with noisy beads in a mirror and soft Teddy's. the good thing about thee activity's is you can have them stable or so the child can rock, a great idea for a growing baby to play safely
These things are excellent. I have used one for all three of my children and
think they are great. I borrowed one for my first child and then bought one
second hand for the other two and it could easily last another three. Mine is slightly
different to this one but it is a graco. I have used mine to keep the baby safe
while I'm in the kitchen, to keep them off the floor while the bigger ones are
playing and so that they can join us in the garden. My youngest liked to rock
it as far as it would go and it has never toppled over which is more than I can
say about when he tried the same in his high chair! The toys on the top are
brightly coloured and keep the baby occupied for ages especially the noisy
ones which can be a little wearing at times. They are quite expensive as are
only used for a short time but they are very useful things to have. I have used mine from about 4 months until they refuse to go in it anymore!
we bought this last xmas for my then 4 month old son. it took a while to fit together - all the toys need to be fitted on. but my son loved it straight away. there are different types of toys that jingle and shake, a mirror which jack liked looking into and the star which sings "twinkle twinkle". it was a godsend cos i knew he was safe in there and i could get on with doing odd jobs around the house. also it can be adjusted to different heights as your baby grows. the chair swivels round so when theyve finished with one toy they can play with the next. the chair is quite deep and more importantly it is washable. definatley worth it for that 10minutes of peace when your little one is too young for a playpen and they cant quite sit up safely by themselves.
lets see where to start priced at £69.79 in Argos but can be brought a lot cheaper on eBay, it requires 4 AA batteries which can also be brought in Argos for £3.29 but im sure you could get them cheaper else where, the recommended age is 6 months and over but both my girls started using this toy at around four month's as they were quite big and capable of holding there head and body themselves.
Its very easy and simple to put up and take down its easy to carry if you wanted to move it about from one place to another and when taken down it can go quite small considering its size when its all up right
Its features then...
The seat in the middle is bright and colourful, bright blue with various coloured designs it will rotate 360 degrees if as your baby turns it turns but your baby will need to be able touch the floor to turn around. It also has a locking system to keep the seat in place if you give your baby a snack or somet.
It can also be a rocker if you push the little yellow clips at the bottom up it will be able to rock a little as the baby moves when there pushed down it will make it steady on the floor unable to move around at all so you know it's safe.
It has nine toys each helping stimulate and encourage your baby
1, a small yellow star which when pressed lights up and plays the tune of twinkle twinkle little star.
2 and 3, two brightly coloured rattles an octopus and a fish.
4, A large red crab which squeaks when pushed down a little nosy but the kids love this one,
5, there's a crab in a plastic type dome doesn't actually do much but nice for baby to look at,
6, there's a plastic ball that spins around with a ship in the centre and lots of little balls which make noise when you spin,
7, there's a green sort of worm with little rings around hes body which can be moved backwards and forwards,
8 a sort of mirror not glass just a sort of reflective foil baby can see themselves in and
9, a small orange seal that when pressed squeaks.
I would recommend this toy as it gives you as the parent five minutes to yourself with out having to worry about whether baby's hurting them self. It also helps stimulate baby's development, hand eye co-ordination and listening.
The only thing I could think of to improve this activity station would be for it to have more sounds, music and instrumental sounds and more lights I'd still say it's worth the £69.79 in Argos and defiantly worth it if you can get it for cheaper of eBay.
This is a fantastic toy for keeping your little one amused. I was skepticl about how much use it would get when I first started looking for one. I was also put off by the price, as these retailt for around £65. We did get a cheap second-hand Graco entertainer from a carboot sale when our eldest daughter was about 6 months old but it didn't really have many activities on it and never really seemed to engage her for long.
I now have a 3 month old who is very difficult to keep amused for long, meaning lots of holding and carrying. Whilst at a local playgroup I spied this entertainer. I put her in it to give my arms a rest and she absolutely loved it! It isn't supposed to be suitable for babies younger than 4 months but she has very good head control and was managing to hit the scorpion squeaker and clear ball rattle. So I went out and bought one and she loves spening a bit of time in it each day. It's really helping with the strength in her neck and legs and she quite happily spent half an hour in there the other day!
On a practical level it is very durable and has 3 different heights. You can also have it in rocking mode or completely still. The seat in the middle swivels 180 degrees and is fully washable in case of any accidents. The activities are all reall well designed, particularly the small yellow star which plays a tune when hit by the baby. I challenege you to try and set it off though. It's almost impossible unless you're a baby!
My son learnt to move (slowly at first but not for long!) around the room quite early on and was no longer happy to sit in his bouncer chair so we decided to look for an activity station/entertainer for him (I personally don't like sit in walkers so the static entertainer are a great alternative) We chose the Graco fun rocks giggles as it looked to have a number of colourful entertaining toys that he would be able to play with. When it arrived it was easy to put together and it was a big hit immediately. At first he would play only with the toys he could see and reach but soon learnt that he was able to turn the seat part round to reach the other toys. He would be quite happy to sit and play with the toys one after the other as he moved the seat round which gave me plenty of time to do the hoovering/cooking etc. I was most disappointed when he found his feet and just wanted to walk round with his push along walker as I no longer had time to get things done!!
Graco Fun Rock Rocks!!!
This is a large plastic toy that your baby can sit securley in and play.
My nephew had a toy very similar to this when he was a baby and I knew how great it had been both for him and my sister so I purchased the Graco Fun Rock for my daughters first Christmas. It was available at my local toy superstore and cost me £89.99 (the best £90 I have ever spent).
The toy is large and circular, made of plastic with toys secured all around. The seat swivels so that your child can have acess to all the toys. The toys are really good, some shake, some rattle, some sing, some move, some talk, some are soft, hard, squeaky etc. so there is no end to the entertainment
The Graco Fun Rock is adjustable in height (very easily) so it grows with your child allowing for good use and value for money. It can be used as a stationary toy or by simply moving a few plastic levels your child can use their weight to rock it around.
The main benefit I found from this was having somewhere secure for my baby to play. Although they can never be left alone you can sit and have a cuppa and watch them play giving you you a precious needed five minutes rest.
An expensive product but so good
My daughetr had no end of fun with this toy .
A magical toy for your baby. The Graco Fun Rock playstation is durable, safe and entertaining. It is now widely available both online and instore and comes in two great styles, pink for the little princess or a funky array of colours for those not so fond of pink!
The playstation is made up of a seat for your little one to stay safely seated in, this is surrounded by a round table covered in toys and there is a height adjustable base underneath.
The greatest thing about this toy is that it stays stationary in the one position. The seat swivels, allowing you child to move 360 degrees to play with all the toys. It is plastic and any material parts can be easily removed to allow for cleaning any mess.
The toys are fun and entertaining and can also be removed. This truly is a toy that will keep any baby entertained for ages!
-: Introduction :-
I wanted to buy this activity station for Ethan since before Christmas but everywhere I went to shop for it they sold out, in fact even similar items to this sold out, leaving me with no choice to shop for it after Christmas. I managed to find one, and bought it, it took 9 days for them to deliver it which was annoying, although I must say it was worth the wait and the money.
-: About the activity station :-
Fun rock giggles is a product made by a company called graco, this company also specialises in pushchairs to, which I also bought. The activity station speaks for itself; you have a washable, removable, swivel seat for your child to sit in. The seat swivels on 3 white plastic wheels which will help in the access of the toys on the tray. The swivel chair also helps your child to see where you are.
There are 8 interactive toys for your child to play, make sounds, and music with. The toys are colourful and mostly made from hard plastic although there are a couple that are soft toys which Ethan loves to play with, as there are different textures on them. There are toys that squeak, which also excites Ethan and is able to learn that touching this toy will squeak which he does well. There is a plastic ball with a toy inside with beads that make a noise when rolled by the child, Ethan also loves the noise of this and does get excited. There is also something that looks to me like a caterpillar with rings on it, that Ethan can slide up and down.
Also there is a mirror that Ethan seems to love, he loves looking at himself, the little poser. There is a musical star, which lights up and plays music when pushed down, ( although my bf broke this when placing it on the table ) the only one he put on there and he breaks it, and men think women are useless putting things together. I have added some toys of Ethan's to the station; I just linked them onto the toys that are already on the station.
The activity station as 2 modes to it, you can either have it rocking while your baby plays or you can have it stable. To put it into stable mode all you have to do is place 3 little plastic legs into the base of the table this will stop it from rocking, to put into rocking mode just life up the legs. I have tried both modes and Ethan doesn't really like when it is in the rocking mode, he seems to be very unsettled, which results me taking him out. He does however enjoy and love being in the stable mode and can be in there a while playing and being entertained.
-: Size :-
The size of the activity station is 75 x 70 x 26 so is pretty big and not easy to store away. I suppose you could always just take off the base and legs and store it separately, but could be a pain in the bum every time you want to get it out again you would have to set it up. I don't really have the storage problem at the moment.
-: Suitability :-
The suitable age for this station is for baby's 6mths + or for baby's that can sit unaided up to 30lbs. or less than 80cm (2ft 8)
Ethan has just turned 6mths old, and he cannot yet sit unaided but he seems fine and happy in the activity station, he is strong enough to sit in the seat. I think as long as your baby can hold their own weight then they will be ok.
-: How easy to put together :-
The station comes in many parts, but it doesn't take long to put together, you do have a instruction manual to help you along the way, although it is pretty easy without it. It took me 15-20 minutes to put it altogether. Mostly everything clicks into place with a simple push; a couple of the toys has to be screwed into the table but is easy to do. The legs that connect the toy tray to the base are adjustable for the right height for your child; there are 3 adjustable heights which your child will grow to.
-: Availability and price :-
I bought mine from toys r us for £49.99, there was 20% off when I bought this just after Christmas
Or you can buy it from Argos for £69.99.
-: Fiinal Thoughts :-
I am glad I bought this now; Ethan loves it, and is entertained for ages. I would also say it was hard wearing as most of the things on there is made of hard plastic, and today Ethan was bashing things on there with his other toys. I cannot compare this product with any other as I have bought anything like this before and don't know anyone that has. I think these are safer then baby walkers as your child is able to move around but not causing any danger to themselves. Also I would have thought it would strengthen your baby's legs to with them bouncing/standing on them. The activity station is worth every penny.
Thank you for reading
I hope I have covered everything.
We bought this fun-rock when my now 2 year old was a tiny baby, quite a while ago for a toy and boy did he love it! but it's still going strong and my little girl is just about raking up the benefits of it now. The age suitability is 6months and above but my little girl who is 5months is fine in it, my little boy roughly the same age when he first started using it. I think so long as the baby is fully holding his/her head and supporting their own body relatively well then they can go in it for short supervised periods of time. My inital reason for buying this was the fact that it had loads of toys to amuse the baby situated within easy reach, quite similar to a baby walker but without the wheels! at the time we didn't have much room for a baby walker to be driven around my lounge and I had heard of accidents with baby walkers anyway so I chose one of these. Right, down the the nitty gritty! The main body of this fun-rock is fully detachable for storeage or cleaning, with only the seat cover machine washable at 40o. Everything is very easy to put together or apart! and the legs are height adjustable depending on the age/height of your baby... The toys surrounding the seat unit are as follows:- Car Steering wheel with horn, mirror, phone, rattle and 3 musical keys - this part is removable leaving an empty spot with ridges for lunch and or a drink while still keeping baby happily playing! A globe like squeaker which when hit provides many a happy giggle!! A wobbly teether *I say wobbly as it is on a sort of stem for baby to have easy reach from hand to mouth!* 2 different coloured 'peek-a-boo' teddies! These are pushed up by baby to reveal 2 very cute teddy faces. An arch with 3 different coloured large beads for alternating from side to side, I've found this in particular is amazing for making any baby proud of his/herself when they finally manage to knock one bead fro
m one side to the other! And last but not least...4 different coloured heart shaped clic-klaks for throwing side to side and making as much noise as possible! All these toys are easily accessible by the centre seat which revolves, the base of the 'rock' is ridged for baby's feet to grip and turn to find the specific toy that baby is interested in right then! It is called the funrock and yep it does rock whichever way your baby decides to lean but when their still tiny this always frightens me, I'm almost 100% sure that they could never topple over but I always tend to have the small pegs into the 'down' position which means that it stays static and although your baby can still turn, play, move just as much you just don't have the wobble effect! I have definitely found that this is great for a baby that likes being carried everywhere, the way it is designed it will keep any baby entertained, plenty toys and a perfect view of everything in the process! This was £69.99 when we bought it 2 years ago but I think it has come down a bit since then and I would definitely recommend one of these to anyone!!
A stationary play centre with a gentle rocking motion. The seat swivels so that all the toys can be accessed by baby, but can also be fixed in place.
