“ Brand: Kiddicare „
I bought this activity centre for my son who is now 6 months old, from Kiddicare in Peterborough. I paid £65 at the time, but this is now on offer online for just £49.99! This is an excellent price as it is such a great toy for a baby. My son sat in it in Kiddicare and cried his eyes out when I took him out he wanted to bounce in it all day so I had to buy it him!
This comes in blue and green for a boy, and also comes in pink for a girl. Although the blue and green one isn't too much for a boy, I would save it and give it to a girl if I have another baby. This is basically like a 'jumperoo' You put your baby in the seat and they learn to bounce it up and down, and there is toys all around them to play with.
My son spends hours in this every day! The toys go round in a circle around the seat, there is a frog, which rattles as there are beads in the eyes of it, then there is a big lollipop, which is my sons favourite! This is on a wavy stick which is not actually strong enough because my six month old pulls the lolly on top so hard to get it in his mouth the stick it is on bends well, but looks about to snap if it gets pulled anymore!
There is a little toy car next as you go round, which is great as if your baby hits the wheel hard enough it beeps, and there is a small button if they press it, it plays music and the car lights up too which always fascinates my baby! You can remove this so your baby can just play with the car on it's own. There is also a ball to roll with beads in it so it rattles, a little gear stick to move up and down, and a phone which beeps if you press it. As you go round again there is a little chicken on top of a wavy stick, which my son also pulls and can actually twist this one around so that it comes out, he always throws it on the floor, so it would be better if they were more baby proof, so they couldn't pull them out at such a young age!
The last toy is a big clear ball that you roll and it makes noise as it has beads inside it, my son loves this as he loves making lots of noise! The seat rotates 360 degrees, so if your baby is getting a bit bored of the toys he is playing with you just turn them to play with the toys on the opposite side! The seat is stiff to move round there is no way a baby could move themselves round in it. The seat comes off and can be put in the washing machine which is essential for us as my son is constantly sick on it!
The toys get covered in sick too but are easy to take off and clean, and put back on again. This activity centre is for babies 6 months plus and although my baby did play in this at around 4 months old and loved it, it definitely is better for a baby 6 months or more, as the seat is not supportive enough for a younger baby. He is a lot better in it now and can even jump up and down in it making it bounce.
It has 3 height positions, my son seems to like it better when his feet are touching the floor a bit instead of just dangling free as he can bounce it better. This toy folds flat for storage and travelling with it. This was really difficult to put together when we first got it, the legs are really difficult to get in, and it took two of us to put it up. However once up, it is strong and sturdy. The toys are good quality except for the chicken and lolly which I think my son will break easily as he gets bigger!
I couldn't be happier with this activity centre though, it keeps my son occupied so well, he loves it and it gives him exercise bouncing away in it! I would definitely recommend it, especially as it is only £49.99 at the moment on Kiddicare, it is well worth the money!
