Advantages: Lots of really good activities

Disadvantages: See opinion

This is fairly easy to store (but be warned it does still take up a lot of room) and is a great lasting toy for your child but what a pain to put together. Maybe that’s because I’m just a weakling but I found it really annoying in some parts. The instructions are nothing more than a series of pictures that are lettered to you know what is what. So a large degree of common sense in required and a great deal of patience. Still when it’s put together I think even the biggest kid will be guilty of at least having a little look!

There are three monkeys that swing to and fro, a giraffe in a train that can be moved back and forth on the top and three types of bears on bouncy ‘rods’ that can be pushed around. That is just a few of the activities. There is a sorting box that opens to reveal 3 shapes and 3 different teethers that fit into hollowed out holes. They can be tough to get in though so not really an activity more just for storage. Two flaps cover a stick-on reflective surface for you child to look in and there is a revolving wheel and ball top off a great activity center.

Your little Tyke has a choice of two entrances, one a door that moves and the other a hole which tends to be Thai’s main choice of entrance. She loves this toy especially the shape sorter because she can pull it open to reveal the shapes inside then put them back and do it all over again.

To store you just remove one side, fold in two of the others (there are 6 in total) and place the one you removed in the middle. The two folded sides pop into place with a little pressure and you can carry it by the handle for storage. Be warned though that on many occasions it hasn’t been quite secure enough and I’ve ended up holding nothing but the mid section!

Other problems with it are that the gate swings perhaps to freely and outwards so that should your child lean unawares on it they will go flying. The top of
the hole doesn’t screw in but is supposed to self lock with large bolts. I’ve found I can pull it off easily so it might be best removed along with the bolts around older children. I can’t remember how much it cost exactly but I think around £40, expensive for one toy but as it lasts I think it is worth it.
