      Very helpful

a good memory for the future

The nine months of pregnancy seems like forever and then along comes baby and that first year seems like forever and then suddenly that tiny baby is a very grown up seven year old!

I cannot tell you how fast the time has gone and one of the best gifts we received was the Mama's and Papa's hand print kit a simple idea but one I treasure and helps to remember just how tiny my baby was.

      What is it?
This is a product which allows you to take a print of your baby's hand or foot it contains special clay which you soften and then simply push baby's foot or hand in and it makes an impression.

      Cost and stockist
This was a gift from my daughters Godparent but expect to pay around £10.00 for this depending on where you purchase it from Amazon currently have for sale at £8.40 www.amazon.co.uk .

      Recommendation and why buy:
Preserving memories for the future is in my mind very important and whilst the baby stage seems to go on forever all too soon you will be coming out with the classic lines "tidy your bedroom" and "have you done your homework"!

I remember believing I wouldn't forget any of it but some things are hardy to recall than others like just how small they were indeed my husband asked me why I was keeping a dolls coat the other day I said it was what our daughter wore home from hospital he was shocked and said "I know I love David Hasslehoff as much as the next person but that is insane"

I wasn't that impressed with the imprint kit at first I found it fairly hard to work moulding the clay and pushing my daughters hand in to give a significant imprint, but seven years on it is something I treasure and marvel at how small she was.

I do recommend this but if I could go back in time I think I would go for the more professional casts or a canvass so in summary whatever method you go for preserving the memories is really important.
